I got a rash last night from niacin, I think I'll lower the amount.
Im very careful to select reputable brands and dont just go for the cheapist I can find or the generics at the grocery store.

I think Ill also upload my cilantro...I love it on rice, in thai food, mexican and just about anything really.

what you're experiencing is not a rash it's referred to as a flush. the blood vessels at the surface of your skin fully dilating... this is actually a good thing because it increases blood flow through the smaller capillaries. how much did you take if it's cool to ask?

Um.. ok.. these may seem like a weird question, but how effective might niacin be, keeping what you said in mind, in helping achieve erection under the influence of mdma, amps, coke, etc.

i honestly couldn't answer that question. there's more to ED then just blood flow and there may be more to these drugs then you realize. these drugs do elevate blood pressure and heart rate, whether they cause vase-constriction i honestly don't know. i'm sure you can find this on the net. but these drugs may act on the brain in a way making it impossible to gain an erection due to effects on the brain itself and not just lack of blood flow.

if these drugs constrict and you're taking something to dilate, i'm not sure if you'd be asking for trouble.

I used to take all kinds of things.  Right now and for the month of January I am not taking any of them.  I want to see what effect stopping will have on me.  I have noticed I am not recovering very well.  I am still soar to the point of not being able to walk very well from squatting 3 days ago...  I think its's because I stopped taking this pH buffered glutamine that is amazing for super quick recovery.  Its 7X more effective than non pH buffered.  Here is what I will be taking in in the coming months:
GNC Sport multi
bcaa-lyn
gluta-lyn
some kind of creatine
ZMA
some kind of test booster
estrogenex
fish oil
dextrose
arginine
beta-alanine
melatonin
casein protein
when protein
maybe some other stuff as well.  I really want to push myself physically before I stop lifting weights for the summer.  It would be amazing if I could add 50+lbs to all of my lifts in 12 weeks...

Well I think I just have a low tolerance to the flush.

I used to take flush-free niacin but Ive heard it said that it lacks some of the benefits.
Yeesterday I had 325 milligrams which was too much.

low flush as in niacinamide? that shit has problemsDrugs.com: Niacinamide Side Effects i'd never use it... i rely heavily on drugs.com... to me it has been the best source for drug information, every aspect of any drug is completely covered there...

Keep taking the same amount that causes the flush.  After a few days, the flush will go away.  I had a friend that became kind of addicted to the flush and would take 3+ grams at a time to achieve the flushing effect...

I'm glad that I'm not your liver and kidneys.  I don't take any supplements on a regular basis.  If I'm doing a lot of training and building muscle, I will take iron and D3 along with an increase in leafy greens and high protein produce in my diet.

Be careful. Unless you have a condition that requires it, males + high iron intake = a very bad idea. If not (having such a condition), you might wanna get tested if you've taken a lot over the years.

"I did not know then how much was ended. When I look back now from this high hill of my old age, I can still see the butchered women and children lying heaped and scattered all along the crooked gulch as plain as when I saw them with eyes still young. And I can see that something else died there in the bloody mud, and was buried in the blizzard. A people's dream died there. It was a beautiful dream.

And I, to whom so great a vision was given in my youth; you see me now a pitiful old man who has done nothing, for the nation's hoop is broken and scattered. There is no center any longer, and the sacred tree is dead."

I'm a vegan, thus my iron intake isn't very high compared to most non-vegan males.  I only take iron supplements when I am in training for a race (marathon or triathlon) and building up muscle.  I also have a doctor that specializes in sports medicine and rehabilitation that monitors my blood work.

I was a vegan for years and found that I became tired due to lack of iron intake (my hypothesis anyway). Why is it bad for males?

Maybe, maybe not. Many non-meat products have iron (for which the absorption is enhanced by vitamin C and lowered by calcium.) The reason that high iron (called 'iron overload') can become a problem relatively easily is bc, unlike most other vitamins and minerals, the body conserves it so tightly and is not much able to increase the (low) rate of removal (about 1 mg/day of that which has already been absorbed) even when iron levels are higher than needed. The excess iron accumulates in various organs & over time can wreak havoc on the body.

Quote:

Excess iron in vital organs, even in mild cases of iron overload, increases the risk for liver disease (cirrhosis, cancer), heart attack or heart failure, diabetes mellitus, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, hypothyroidism, hypogonadism, numerous symptoms and in some cases premature death. Iron mismanagement resulting in overload can accelerate such neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer’s, early-onset Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.

http://www.irondisorders.org/iron-overload

The problem can be either genetic or from environment (e.g. diet, supplements.) Treatment is usually relatively simple, weekly (give or take) blood-letting for x months until levels are brought down to an acceptable range. Often (as w/so many other things), the medical problem can be a genetic predisposition exacerbated by the environmental condition(s).

Quote:

Conclusions: Ingestion of large quantities of dietary iron and red meat in persons with high transferrin saturation is associated with an increase in mortality. Simple dietary restrictions may reduce the mortality risk associated with high transferrin saturation.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15083854

Basically, w/o a genetic predisposition, diet alone probably won't do it. But additional iron (e.g. supplements, iron leaching from cookware or rusty water pipes) could do it even in ppl w/o agenetic predisposition. Because iron overload is so easy to detect & to correct, & bc it can be very detrimental & even lethal over time: better safe than sorry.

P.S. Were you making sure to get enough B12 as a vegan? Bc if not, then fatigue is a symptom of deficiency.

I supplement with plenty of B12...I suspect it to be iron since I dont eat too many leafy greens...I eat them occasionally but not a big salad person and dont know of many good cooked greens recipes.
