ehhhhh, I know this is an old post, I'm not sure if there is anything more recent? But I'll be getting into it in the next few months, probably just locally in Perth bush trails and what not and then obviously down south. GL all

Been a lot of rain past week thinking of heading down got a long way to drive any advice or opinions on the possibility of a successful run would be appreciated

Might want to edit that post buddy, requesting hunting partners on here is prohibited. There's a forum for it, have to wait until you reach 100 posts though.
As for your chances, I'd say they are pretty low at the moment. Give it another week or two, the fogs are coming in and the temperature is dropping pretty rapidly. I think the maximum is still a bit high right now, but growth during the week looks promising. It's going to heat up a little next weekend, but hopefully they have had enough time to kick off a bit.

Someone on shaman australis cruised down to b-town about 5 days ago, didn't have any luck. Found a few boletes, but nothing active. Still a while to go yet.

Finally an update! haha, yer I kind of guessed, the conditions have to go for a week... saw some mushies (non active) growing around perth but they only last about a day... get's wet and then heats up enough to kill everything.

Yeah I've spotted a few puff balls coming up on people's lawns. Went for a walk the other day and found a galerina of some sort..
There has been a few gym finds lately, conditions seem good enough for them. Fingers crossed for some heavy rain this week.

i walked through some pines last weekend, took 75, mostly young ones. it was hard work, it's still too early in my opinion.. give it a couple more weeks i reckon

hey guys sorry i havent been on in ages went across the road today to empty bush land and to my surprise i found some mushrooms in the bark, look at my id request to see them or hes a pic of spore print and cap

I'm from a bogan ass town between Perth and mandurah, bit closer to mandurah. Apparently the mushrooms I found were are psatherylla sp. but I've only got 1ID so far and the pics aren't that good, and it makes them look darker in the gills and the colors look more yellow apart form the ones outside, btw I'm referring to my Id request thread.

has any one seen the weather for balingup lately? its looking fucking
good, my bet is to go down on Friday because its at a high of 17 low of 4
and fog with it raining all week beforehand.

Yeah the temperatures are dropping pretty rapidly... Still not much rainfall though, 1 - 5 ml most days.
