 Fucking smartphones.

I went to a concert last night and everybody was on them!! 
It pissed me off because there was an amazing show going on and everyone
i saw was text/using these phones. Cant you just wait till the show is over?
I dont understand why this makes me angry, does it piss you guys off as
much as me??

I will send a text in the middle of a show - it takes all of 15 seconds. Not constantly, mind you, but I have no problem with 3-5 in a 2 hour show

I feel the exact same way...most of the time cell phone recordings have shitty ass audio quality anyway so its hardly even worth uploading. the people who do quality recordings though, i still don't understand why they do it but i'm thankful that they do.

All of these people were on there phones, and the light visuals were
incredible. I was pretty stoned too, but those stupid phone lights
peripheral vision were pissing me off.

Yeah. I have a smartphone, but the amount that some people have their faces glued to them freaks me out.
I was at a pub a few days ago, and there was like a blue glow in the place because of how many people had their phones out, combined with the low lighting.
Weirdness. Haunting illuminated faces...

People and their phones these days make me sick. I know im talking about most of you so ill try and keep it nice. You fuckers are so out of touch with reality...
It pisses me off if a girl has her phone out on a date, I might get up and leave if you text at dinner.
I hate the fact most people have a fucking camera on them (the phone) at all fucking times. Most of the time I go out I DO NOT want to see pictures of it the next day, much less have 3,000 people (via facebook, twitter, etc.) see where someone checked me in at 3am on a Saturday.
Teenagers just started getting phones about the year i finished high school, which means people younger than me think its perfectly fine to:
-Not know how to use a fucking map, or listen to directions (GPS on phone),
-show up 15 to 60 minutes late, and just call to excuse themselves while I fucking wait.
-Not agree on a specific meeting place, but to "find you when they get there" (<- never works).
-Play with the damn phone when ever there is the slightest socially awkward moment- have you ever noticed how much closer people are, and how much more friendly shit seems when you go on vacation someplace where cell phones don't work (like a cruise, camping, etc.) hell even when i go to court people want to chat (they have a no phones policy + metal detectors)
-Dive and text/FB/chat/call etc. If you are using 10% of your mental capacity to use the phone, over 10 years or so of constantly being only 10% distracted, you WILL fuck up and cause an accident.
in short? leave your fucking phones at home once in a while, there's a big world full of shit to involve yourself with. If you have restricted yourself to only talking to 5 or 6 people you are comfortable with, and use them and the phone to bail on any socially awkward or boring situation don't be surprised when you get nervous in a job interview, say the wrong thing to a cop, or, god forbid, ever need to be without the phone longer than 10 seconds.

I tend to not let other people affect my experience at a concert...usually its just me vibing to the music and having a good time. But hey if everyone wants to pay attention to the dude on the smartphone, by all means go ahead.

i cant even hang out with half my friends anymore cuz when were all chillin they cant even break concentration with that damn little screen for 1 minute

I wish i could pull the phone records of every driver that dies in an accident and cross reference the time of the phone call or last text to the time of the collision. I bet you if we had a real idea about how much to blame phones for the harm they cause people would be less attached.

Y do u have the authority to say how someone should "enjoy the concert".
If I enjoy it by listening to the amazing music while texting or posting on shroomery, ima do that.
Just went to a concert a week or so ago. I wasn't on the phone much, but I responded to quite a few texts. I'm sure u would have been staring at me with concern while u should have been "enjoying the concert".
