Yeah. I've been off everything for 114 days besides caffeine. Trying to keep it that way. I couldn't do it without support though. Dealing with it on my own is setting myself up for disaster.

breaking an addiction to anything is extremely difficult, and i don't believe there's even one person who has ever tried heroin and not fallen instantly in love with it, so don't worry, you're not alone or the first
unfortunately there is no way around the boredom that comes with ignoring cravings, you just have to stay clean long enough to forget how high the high was while finding something less totally life fucking than heroin addiction
but you will if it is important enough to you

going on 3 years off of OC, even though i still do some vikes on occasion i still get cravings for OC, maybe once or twice a month when im bored or stressed.
had a really bad one lastnight after reading a thread on heroin, it sucks, but atleast im still alive.

I've tried to tell my friend not to fuck with opiates. He doesn't understand, and never will until he gets deep in addiction. Just tonight at work he was complaining he needed opiates or "he was gonna die." Stupidly I suggested he try poppy pods if he really needed a hookup. He won't listen, and he is going down the path to hell. Bright kid with stupid ambitions. argh

I know, but I still felt the need to at least try to steer him away. He love opiates. He said he hasn't done them in awhile, which I found out was a week and half. Last time I've done them was probably 2 months and I have no desire to partake in that state again. I told him to smoke weed. He dislikes it. I am no electromechanical engineer like he is, but at least I have the sense to stay away from opiates or at least acknowledge their cravings.
Man, he needs a good crowd to hang around. He doesn't really have any good friends. Like real friends, only losers who are funny and like to get fucked up. It's sad. I wish him the best.

What I do daily to deal with cravings
-Read NA literature
-Journal
-Call my sponsor every day
-Text sober friends about my feelings
-Hike 3-5 miles daily with sober friend
-Go to NA meeting everyday
-Changed cell phone number and deleted all contacts
-Get Naltrexlone injection every month
I spent daily habit going so it takes a daily effort to deal with it. Only drug thing i have yet to drop is shroomery.

All strong opiates are equally addicting. It's just what you prefer. For me morphine or oxycodone is what I prefer over heroin. heroin just seems to be the favorite.

Yeah, it's not for me. I already have an addictive personality. Ingesting any opiates is a horrible idea for me personally. Still, though, I think growing your own opium and getting high allows respect for drug because of respect for the plant. I wish to partake in that someday.

If only that was true man. Replace opium with coca and would you snort and produce 10oz of cocaine and be okay beacuse you grew it yourself? Opium is probably my favorite, but it's just as dangerous and addictive as heroin.

You're right, no I wouldn't. I find the history behind opium fascinating. Addiction is a helluva thing. I've seen it personally. It's not a good idea, and that's why I stay away from things like that. I am curious, is all. I think that's how a lot of people have fell in the trap.

I recently decided im quitting heroin and smoking and snorting all drugs in general at the end of this year. Its just not worth it anymore my lungs are so messed up

Drugs are just too easy of an escape. You don't feel so good? take some drugs! had a bad day? clean rigs under the sink! got pulled over? heres 40mgs of FeelsGoodMan!
Why would you feel the hurt when yo can make it stop? of course some people are better/worse off than others.
Personally I feel its just asking for trouble to use drugs to solve problems and I try to use to feel good, not to stop the bad feelings.
