rainbow familly & the occupy movement
    #15267124 - 10/23/11 05:30 PM (1 year, 7 months ago)

hey have many people noticed some of the drastic similarities between the way the occupy movement is being carried out and the infrastructure of large rainbow gatherings? they set up food camps. tare occupying as long as possible. bartering for necessity in the streets without money. general peaceful assembly. camps and kitchens? even if they did not have a direct influence in making the movement happen. the people who have participated in a rainbow family gathering are like prime candidates for supporting the occupy movement love to hear some opinions on this.

Maybe the occupy movement will start camps in the national parks?  I could see that being fucking epic. Massive occupy training camps:shrug:

An eternal gathering.  I say take over someplace like New idria or some blm land and just start a huge mass exedus.

maybe the numbers will get so big that corporations cant exploit them anymore. because everyone is not buying the bullshit and are surrounding themselves by a budding little microcosm of new way of communal thinking. if i was to join the movement i would have to devote my life to it.

I say go for it.  I am one step out of my house.  I am seriously thinking of buying a motor home and driving it to the woods and parking it.

im getting kicked out of my home anyway someone with money bought the place me and my cousin are renting. its a real possibility. i used to think about living in the woods but something inside me says join the fire fight for the rights of the many who have suffered. then my more logical side says why would you want to give up what you have to fight for something your not totally sure of. the only thing im sure of was that the rainbow gathering in skokum Vally Washington last year was hands down like the most beautiful thing i have ever experienced.

why do they have to have the name rainbow family, are they all about the gay agenda? It probably puts off a lot of people who don't want to associate with homosexuality.

I definitely see the parallels between rainbow gatherings and occupy wallstreet. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of rainbows are taking part in the protests, if not organizing them.
