Absolutely. That's my relationship with alcohol. The initial buzz feels great so I drink more. The drunk feels great as well, I'm open and cheery, having a few laughs, so I drink some more. Sooner or later I end up overly intoxicated unable to properly formulate thoughts into sentences, which is why I dislike alcohol in excess. There's a certain tipping point for me.

I just pull out a sheet of geltabs and offer them a 10 strip and when they refuse I make fun of them for the rest of the night and call them a pussy

Whats pisses me off the most is that they always think they know better than me. Its like they know how bad drugs are but they've only gotten drunk and I've tried more drugs than I can be bothered to remember. Its more likely that I'm the one who knows where its at. But whatever dude, next time I'm carrying a baggy with some white powder and if someone tries to push me some of that drink or be gay shit I'll be shoot or receive buttseks

I try not to drink too much but if it werent for booze Id never socialize.
Smoking pot is a tough way to bond IME...sure I may be actively smoking it and partaking in a ritual with others but as soon as that ritual is done i clam up, dont say anything and sit around in my own head analyzing everything.
What I dont like is when people try to force me to smoke pot! Mary Jane is great, dont get me wrong, but she doesnt like to let me talk to other women.

Acid sobers me up.
Drunkenly consuming mushrooms and then forgetting I consumed mushrooms is the worst. Back when I grew them (and was an active alcoholic) this would happen to me every so often. I know people say they are sacrament, need to be respected, blah, blah, blah but I would drunkenly check the tub and see a few freshies that just begged me to pick em.
I have a hard time eating mushrooms now. The last couple of times i was given them I ended up giving them away because I was afraid to eat them. It's silly but a 10 strip of acid scares me less than an 8th of mushrooms.

Ditto. Mushrooms have the capability to give me very frightening, uncontrolled head trips where acid doesn't. I have my freakouts on acid, I mean what's a psychedelic without freakouts, but they're always manageable and self-containing.
I still love mushrooms though. They seem able to give me hugely blissed-out, cosmically gratifying trips where acid holds out. I do think they demand a bit more respect than LSD does for the experience to be positive.

My mushroom freak outs are usually right as Im peaking. Up until the peak is completely anxiety filled for me. I have to be alone during the peak. At the peak I "die". After I die all is right with the world.
Occasionally on some trips my fear of death is so great that I continue to feel the death creeping it's spiny hands around me but I often make my peace with it. I usually feel drained during the come down but psychologically in a better place.
My trips arent quite as euphoric as they used to be...and my most euphoric of mushroom trips are usually either alone or with people I love. They inhibit my ability to be able to tune out someone's bad vibes...so if bad vibes are present i gotta dip.

Not trying to be a dick. Been up all night in agony because of my back/sternum/shoulder.
Regardless, it's a term associated with genocide, rape, invasion, destruction, loss of identity, war, etc.
To me it's no different than a person of a diff nationality waking up in agony to see someone say over a dozen slurs I can think of off the tip of my tongue.
