I notice that a lot, but I don't think it's just the Shroomery. I also think it has less to do with being a newbie and more to do with people just skimming through the forums. Very rarely will I stop to read someone's post just because they're long time members, though many of them do get more attention.

The ignore feature works great on noobs..........works even better on super posters (gay trolls). It offends them much more, once you recognize how someone writes or recognize an inside joke by a past user it gets easy to spot puppets, trolls and creeps. The who's online feature works wonders too.

it happens to everyone, sometimes i write out a post that is funny as fuck, or is a really well thought out, provocative and interesting post about something most people wouldn't know, and it all just gets ignored and fades from the front page

also, talk to people about what they want to talk about, don't just assume people want to talk about whatever it is your posting. try to follow the discussion or be involved in it somehow
and if that fails, make threads about eating copious ammounts of dxm, shrooms or xanax

Make threads that challenge prevailing beliefs and viewpoints. Shroomery members are often less open-minded than they think. They may hold ideas that are contrary to popular culture, but they grasp firmly to them often as forcefully and desperately as the society whom they reject.

I put anyone with less than 1000 posts on ignore by default, because my 20000 post count makes me superior.

It's the nature of the internet. Don't expect 'fairness'.
If you post value, readers will get it.

I'm a newbie, and my jurnals sometimes get ignored, or like 10 views but I understand that because its mostly stuff I've been working on. I'm not here to impress any "morons" even thou there nothing wrong with haveing fun but I do stick a lil more to the "serious side" when writeing jurnals and only post on threards that I can legitimately give an opion on bassed on experience, etc. It would be nice to be able to start new tor hreads thou......
