i'm saying girls have more pressures on them then males do - and admittedly alot of their pressures are placed on them by themselves and society, but they have alot of pressure to look pretty and attractive. not to sound sexist but alot of the time a woman is measured by her looks. they have the pressures of being the stay-at-home mother (even though this is changing), girls have the pressure of having to deal with other bitchy girls, they have alot of troubles
really men have it easy, we get to do wahtever we want , wear what we want, fuck what we want , look how we want, and not a single fuck is given

Do you drink? Better bars is key.
Bars with decent house music(if that's possible where you are), girls dancing to house/minimal/electro in a bar is a pretty good sign as it is, especially if they are not with guys.
Most aren't there to just dance, don't forget that. Sometimes it can be hard, no doubt about that.
Think you're going to just have to bite the bullet some night and just go for it, either way, you'll be better off for it, you'll either get talking to some girl or not, she might be into you, she might lose interest straight off, either way it's a step forward.

In general I understand you hypothesis that more is expected of women, but it's not universally true. The sorts of pressure(s) you are referring to are largely determined by socio-economic class, ethnicity, and country in which one were born.
Upper-class 1st generation desi girls with well educated parents probably have some of the craziest/most contrary expectations placed upon them. They're expected to look pretty, do extremely well in school, uphold traditional culture, integrate into American society fully, go to an Ivy League, get a professional degree, give up career aspirations after obtaining said degree, marry a guy of Indian descent in what is often a parental-arrange marriage, pop out a bunch of grandchildren, be a stay-at-home mom who runs the house hold and spends most of the day cleaning and cooking labor-intensive food and taking care of the children because even though a maid would be affordable using help would make you a bad mother/house wife. And if you're unlucky and your husband is an ass, divorce is absolutely unacceptable except in the most dire cases in your culture and you'll be an outcast if you initiate divorce proceedings or legal action against your husband if he hits you. Actually most of what I described applies to women in quite a few other minority groups in the US.
White women have it a little easier typically because they don't have to straddle American and traditional culture--which doesn't seem like a huge burden, but it can be. Also marriages are not arranged, divorce is the norm., most upper-class white girls aren't expected to obtain any education higher than an undergraduate degree (if that!), white-guilt precludes white folk from expecting their women to give up career aspirations after taking the time to obtain a professional degree, hiring maids/nannies is acceptable/normal/expected, and few husbands/families complain about eating out/quickly prepared food. Individual husbands may expect differently, but if they do they can get kicked to the curb.
I can't think of a clear example where men in general have more expectations placed upon them than women, but don't discount the stress/pressure of being successful career-wise in an acceptable profession as a male or the stress of being the sole-provider.
