just a bunch of random numbers on a chart that could easily be misrepresented.
but i don't think i fully understood what the chart was all about tbh.
imagine if the powers that be could find a way to tap into this network and control it. using a bit of imagination the implications of such a thing are pretty scary

This makes a lot of sense to me. Just seems right for whatever reason....
Cosmic consciousness is the idea that the universe exists as an interconnected network of consciousness, with each conscious being linked to every other. Sometimes this is conceived as forming a collective consciousness which spans the cosmos,[1] othertimes it is conceived of as an Absolute or Godhead from which all conscious beings emanate.

interesting.
we've already proven that atoms communicate with one another, even from long distances. I liked the guy talking about how the subject of consciousness isn't even in the forefront yet, and we know so little about it.

Yeah, this episode blew my mind. I love the series, but none of my friends have an attention span long enough to watch it. You have to admit Morgan Freeman's got a somewhat hypnotic, lulling voice.
Most intriguing to me was the argument on whether space is "real" or time is "real".
I'm leaning toward the idea that time is just how our mine makes sense of the infinite static slides of circumstances, each overlapped.
My mind wanders to the ideas of psychic abilities and their workings. Maybe the psychic mind can simply deviate from this inadvertent ordering of moments and pluck out the past or future?

I've actually experienced these IRL and nobody ever believed me. Glad to see theres some actual scientific data now proving I'm not lying or prone to hallucinations as people usually write off these types of experiences as.
The first time, I had a kind of panic attack while high on XTC and blacked out for a few seconds. My sister phoned me up straight away and said she had "felt" that I was in trouble. She knew I had taken an XTC and swears to this day nobody told her and that she felt me being in trouble at exactly the time it happened.
Another time I saw 5 minutes into the future. I had precise details about everything that was going to happen. I consciously sat there and thought about them minutes before watching in amazement as the future I had already "remembered" unfolded precisely in front of me. There was so much detail and it was so profound that I knew it was too much to just be some self-trickery.

Is this a brand new series? The first one just finished a couple of weeks ago on Discovery. I'd imagine it'll be a while before the second one is shown over here. Wicked show though.

No this is the second season of this show and episode 5.
But you can find them all on youtube.
