The point of meditation is whatever you intend it to be. Don't hold an intention and your most empowered aspect of the self will designate it to it's cause. From breathing to sleeping. If you're angry and empower the ego or the cause of that frustration, every breath will empower that aspect more and more. So on and so forth.

If you meditate to prepare for death, it is something you have chosen not a universal purpose.
