Bugger it! Might as well keep this thread as now active. S.A 2011 Season. As I mentioned before I was not expecting to find these mushrooms so soon.

Here is a pic of the two that is now a few days older.

Good to see a few more youngsters coming up

Here Austrip this is my garden project. I planted about six brackenferns a few nights back now and only two have survived the others got pulled out by the sheep.

I went hunting south of Adelaide in some pine plantations over the last couple of days. Found a ridiculous amount of amanita, but no other actives. Really keen to go again soon.
@Stopwhispering, what is the mushroom in the far left of your signature? I found a number that looked similar while hunting. They look really cool.

Who is keen for a hunt sometime over the long weekend?
Went out to three spots which were fruitful last year and nothing has popped up yet
Still optimistic, they are obviously out there!

Just looked at the forecast for the city for the rest of the week - doesn't look like much rain probably have to venture southwards?

Hahaha sorry ! It gives me renewed enthusiasm
Such a distinct smell. I have taken to smelling many kinds of mushrooms lately, nothing quite like the smell of a sub!

Just got my first batch all dried out. Got roughly 300 to 450 nice big blue subs, was real happy with the find as it was only a short walk in the bush near my home.
Went on a 15km walk last night after consuming roughly three medium sized ones and it was an awesome experience.
only got a couple of crappy pictures will post more when i go back to get some new fresh ones
