Cremated or Buried? * 2
    #13808364 - 01/18/11 04:38 PM (2 years, 4 months ago)

Being shot into space as a jelly type 4th dimensional creature is obviously everyone's favorite answer.  :awesome2:

But between being cremated or buried, what would you want and why?

I'd probably choose to be cremated.
:superiority:

The better question is how can you possibly argue that once you're dead you'll give a shit either way?

I want to be cremated but nowhere near a funeral home in a shitty oven and placed in a vase.

I want it done simpler, body placed in the middle of a massive pile of wood on a rural property and light it on fire.

Which do you prefer?

Most of my family has been cremated. But im a firm believer that DMT plays a role in the afterlife. The book I am reading says that it takes about 49 days after death for all the DMT to leave your body. Same with pregnancy; it takes about 49 days for DMT to be produced in a fetus.

I don't like the idea of cremation because I would think it would tamper with passing over within that 49 day period. But I also hate the idea of being buring 6 feet underground.

Thoughts?

Burned for me.

I have no reason to take up space once my physical body is dead.

i want a green burial

wrap me in cloth, preferably hemp, and put me in a hole under a tree, or drop me in the ocean. i don't want a casket to keep all my tasty nutrients locked in. i definitely wouldn't want to be cremated, that would be a waste of plant food

Couldnt care less, I'll be dead.

But if I have to choose, I'll go with this gentleman's suggestion:

Mine is similar.

I think I'd like to be cremated, mixed with soil and plant a tree with it.

Or leave it whole and plant the tree

Whichever is better for the tree

Cremated, why would you want to take up the room?  Coffins/gravestones are a waste of money & space.  Or maybe buried without a coffin/gravestone...hmmm

Being a florescent adolesent would have been entertaining, but now that I am no longer an adolescent I'll settle for the less funny option of cremation.

I want to be cremated.

For my funeral, I demand that my body be made into canapes, reserving just my head and arm for presentation. I want my arm extended, with a little silver tray on it, and have all the canapes on the tray. Then when people come up to pay their respect, they can eat me.
