I think some girls prefer marriage over sex, so for most girls it's not a game, but it's serious bussiness as they want to know who you are. For most guys however, it's a game as they don't want to girls to know who they are, they just want sex. Some girls just want someone to marry, I don't think they care for sex so much as most of the guys suck in bed and have a small dick anyway.

Lol. Yeah everyone wants to get fucked sure, but some girls are looking for more than that, hence the "more class". Girls are more about love, while guys are more about lust, but yeah maybe you're right that theres not so mcuh gender seperation, but how do you explain the totally opposing views of girls and guys then?

Girls also have greater social consequences if they have sex a lot and openly seem to enjoy it. A guy is considered cool for fucking lots of women and a girl is considered a slut.

You guy should try BDSM. My girlfriend wants me to "own" her, which entails that she does whatever I say, I "punish" her when she's been "bad, and she really enjoys it all, the feeling of being owned... I oblige her, naturally. seriously, it's the best deal you can ever get if you're a guy...though she herself feels like she has the better end of the deal.

Yeah, I see no reason to conclude there's any signifigant difference between male and female people's sexual nature that is a function of their sex rather than psycho-social factors.
Its really amazing to me how similar we are given the physical differences, thought at the same time I suppose it shouldn't be surprising either as other than sexual charecteristics we are by definition identical, and these sexual features are relatively limited in terms of physical functioning and daily life compared to the relative pervasiveness of the social effects and psychic identity manifested by gender/sex.
Its kinda strange to imagine, but how intimate is our behavior with those of the alternate sex in both physical and emotional, social, ways and yet how much of our ideas of who "guys" and who "girls" are is presumed to be based on sex yet may be entirelly illusory?

yeah, see that's interesting.
It goes along with the behavior of women who verbalize a desire to not have intercourse/sexual conduct, yet do want to. I've never encountered such a situation and it always seemed pretty perverse to me from both particpants' perspectives, but it seems a common enough phenomena.
It also seems consisant with research I've read suggesting that pleasurable "rape dreams" are quite common amongst women (obviously the population is highly relevant especially in my view that these things are pretty much social artifacts, but all I can recall is that it was western post pubescent females). The "rape" description was the term the author used and I thought it was kinda funny, as I would imagine rape to be understood pretty clearly as sex with a partner who has a 'positive' desire to not have sex and yet is compelled to do so unwillfully rather than sex where one or both partners has simply has not consented, i.e. violent compulsion rather than lack of consent, but that is what the dreams were called in the article I read.
Both these things as well as the desire to be dominated sexually seem to be consistant and suggestive of a shame or emotionally uncomfortable component to sexual activity on the part of the females. Obviously there is enjoyment and pleasure in all these activities, so why the domainating influence? I always figured it was an emotional attachment with enjoying and especially seeking out sexual relations with negative notions of being 'bad' and 'corrupt' and 'sleezy'. In these situations the female has the sexual experience and satisfaction without the positive action in furtherance of it- essentially lieing to themselves to avoid associating themselves with that which they find 'bad'.

That male and female sexuality (sexual drive or aversion, norms, tendency to be faithful/infaithful, desire for various things) is probably biologically very similar and the observed differences are cultural and pscyhological manifestations of that culture and learned gender role?
As I recall, you were one of the few female members that agreed with me on that (if I remember correctly)- though then again, we don't have many female members in the philosophy forum anyways :P

I don't think it did contradict that line of thinking- the question was asked simply because I was thinking of it rather than because I thought your views to be inconsistant or anything like that.
Its just that the point of view that the differences in the sexes are largely culture rather than biologically derived seems somewhat of minority viewpoint, and you are one of the few members I recall that agreed with me on that.
