Well I think Rogan at least in his mind is trying to express that humanity needs an upgrade in its consciousness if we are to avoid many of the issues we are currently facing.

We actually have no evidence or understanding about 2012 so Joe Rogan saying his opinion with a plastic, fake cover of humility which is really just pent-up suppressed egotism isn't trying anything at all. Actually he just wants to appeal to a certain audience in my opinion.

What needs to be said? I don't think that the world is going to end in 2012 but things are getting pretty shitty if you look at a global scale. Its not that its happening because of a Mayan calendar, but if this year was shittier than the one before it who knows what it will be like in two years kind of way. I'm not saying I agree with him, but at times it interesting if nothing else. Many of McKenna's theories have been blatantly mis-proven and yet there is still something romantic about his ideas.

Trolls are fun to pet, but never feed them!
This made me think..
If chaos and destruction naturally occur throughout the universe, then is all this war and chaos and destruction that has always been around just a natural part of the universe that cannot be stopped?
Is peace on earth for eternity just something that cannot be? Are both war and peace necessary components of some cosmic balance?

Ying n yang
both are consistant throughout the universe, as far as we know, so i guess its safe to say they are necessary. "they" being order n chaos of course..
peace on earth cannot be but trying to work towards it is a start

Are you saying im some kind of creature from another dimension?
Honestly, I think someone who was a host of a television show called "the man show" which is all about beer and girls jumping on trampolines doesn't really have much credibility talking about 2012 and that's not judgemental, that's just common sense...
Edit: Just because some people that have a little bit of fame start talking about psychedelics and 2012 doesnt mean they will portray a good image of new age psychedelia

Oh I see what your saying but he's just doing his job as a commentator, he has all the right answers cause of his solid background in bjj but I could see how that could get annoying to some.
I still wanted to see the snipes vs rogan fight.

Whether you like him or not, I really don't care, Joe does have some great insight into something that most people don't experience. He had plenty of ideas and perceptions that I thought were extremely interesting.
The one thought that caught my attention is when he was discussing developed sensory perception. The idea that without the ability to sense something (sight, hearing, smell, touch, etc) we have no idea that it is there. His example being the fart theory lol, that if you had no sense of smell and couldn't hear the fart, you would have no idea that it was there. So the idea that maybe as humans that we don't have certain sensory perception, would mean that we are completely oblivious to something that surrounds us all. This could mean that a interconnectedness between every human does in fact exist, but we lack ability to sense it.
Overall I an interested in the interviews that are going to be in the 2012 Time for change, and that Joe Rogan is a celeb among psychonauts.

They just want to be the chosen one to which the spirits in the drugs hand-delivered their special knowledge. No one else has a right to this information, who does this Joe Rogan think he is? Big hurt on the ego they believe they've crucified but is more massive than ever.

I don't actually hate him. Its nice he puts in a good word for psychedelics, and the culture in general. But the dude just repeats stuff he reads from the internet, and has been known to present theories as factual truths (eg Strassman).
He's a comedian.

My main problem with this interview besides that Daniel Pinchbeck bugs me, is that Joe Rogan thought it necessary for some reason to explain to us who Jim Breuer is.

I don't think he's nuts or crazy or out there or whatever, I just think he's a self-serving douche nozzle who's more concerned with figuring out how to get pussy/popularity even though he looks like he'd be more comfortable in a wizard suit, than anything else.
I'm just going on looks and attitude (notice how he laughs heartily at all of his own jokes, even when they piss Joe off/ruin his flow) but from what I hear of people actually hanging out with him that's not far off from the truth.
