I need some serious advice for my friend here. If someone ends up freaking out from a bad trip and going to the hospital and the authorities get involved and the person is a fucking dumbass, and the authorities get your friends number. What the fuck should your friend do? cancel there plan? Take out there sim card? What the fuck should my friend do!!!!!

well if the authorities already got involved i assume they have more than just a phone number? most likely a name and where he lives and shit like that?
cancelling your plan probably wouldn't do much your friend either has to leave the country or wait to see what happens... good luck

Then I think he's about as good as he can get unless someone else knows more to tell ya. Obviously a previously dialed phone number or received call isn't enough evidence to fuck him over.

What are you afraid of exactly? It would only take getting a hold of their wallet to establish their identity.
I would think if your admitted to hospital at some point you will have to identify yourself. There isn't anything you can do about that I don't think.
You might want to delete the call log (received and outgoing) as well as the messages from the phone.
I wouldn't think that *necessarily* the police would check the persons phone. It's not like they suspect them of being a drug dealer .. (or do they?)

Police DO check phones, at least IME. A completely empty call log and text log would look suspicious, plus the phone company keeps a call log anyway, so just delete incriminating texts and he should be fine, unless they check the phone of the guy in the hospital. That might be problematic. I suppose he could always just say he lost his phone a few days ago. But seriously don't talk to the cops, thats for his lawyer to do.

Take out the battery, old (well not really) smugglers/dealers trick, they legally cant put it back in and look through your phone.

Alright well, my friend wanted chocolates but he owed this girl money so he had "someone" give three to this girl for him. This person was just trying to do his friend a favor. This ended up causing a huge problem because the girl shared more chocolate than recommended with her friends, one of which was underage. The girl freaked out, had a seizer and ended up in the hospital. The girl called this person saying they got their number.

Why would them having his number create any sort of problem - you need to give more information.
you cant get in trouble for going to a hospital tripping if you have nothing on you.
So unless he is involved in any sort of cultivating or dealing he has nothing to worry about.
your all being too  , dont worry.
