Thats what I figured, I'm doing your tek right now. It's in the drying stage, and I'm hoping to have it done in a week or two. I will never try that sludge again, so thanks for your method....

Et us know how it works for u I have made slugs and I don't like that horrid taste or the summic upset and would like to know how they compare and the overall effect

it's hard to say... i wouldn't bother making tar balls again. sometimes they worked, sometimes they were too weak. all of the times it was never as strong as my best tea i had made with a croc pot.
if i am to mess with trichs again i will do one of the three: 1) make a cactus slushee (take green flesh, no outer skin, freeze, thaw & blend and down) 2) make a pulpy-tea (no outer skin) 3) eat green flesh raw
YMMV and other folks have had better results, but i don't think i will bother making tar balls again
