Works better if you really mean it and feel that connection. I tell every close female friend of mine that I love them. Also had amusing instances where a new boyfriend would hear me and flip out, only to have the girl go batshit on him.

I've done it, and she did not reciprocate... but a month or so later she did, and within another month we were together...
Quick to love, slow to stop loving... that's me...
We aren't together right now but we were for 3 years and its lookin like we will be again soon...
I dunno... I feel like I'm gonna marry the girl one day...
Maybe if you aren't together you should word it like "i think i'm seriously falling for you..."

the tendancy is to abuse people like that.
If someones declared their love for you its like saying "you can do whatever you want and still have me".
Not only does it tend to turn them off but they think they can shit all over you.

you have to make sure you are going to work together before you start a relationship, and i think that getting to know someone is key..
if he wants to know that they are both on the same page after months or so of a "not" being together than this would be a good way of doing so.

I'd say it depends.
Personally I have no problem telling people that i love them, guy's girls acquaintances whatever.
If they get wierded out, IMO it's because they are immature and insecure.
If your goal is just to have sex, well, once again it depends. Everyone has different preferences.
you will attract different kinds of girls depending on how you put yourself out.
So in conclusion, it depends on what hind of girl you're looking for, and what your own particular wants are.

Depends , its worked for me once . On the other hand some girls might get creeped out , some might fall in love with you who knows unless you take your chances .
