So the amount of time spent reading here is somehow a reflection of how many friends I have?  Who would have known. 
It's confidence that i lack, seeings as i've only been playing with ableton for 3 months and don't have one completed track done yet. I'm still learning and i just don't have that much interest in letting the whole world follow my progress.

wow i feel like a dick. im sorry for going off on you. thank you for listening to it. even if your music sucks thats what this thread is for. for everyone to help out with eachother. put something up on soundcloud and get different opinions on the techniques you use. its pretty helpful. and again.... im sorry i feel like

i thought i was the only one in this state.. ive been working on a C.R.E.A.M. remix by Wu Tang Clan for about 8 weeks now.

No doubt you are not alone. I am stuck at the moment trying wrap my head around a few plug-ins to get a particular sound from scratch. I just learned all the ins and outs of processing in drum racks in ableton so my beats and percussion are hands down the aspects i am most comfortable with. I need to figure out time-stretching and warping next which seems really complicated as well. Video tutorials and music production forums have been a huge help so far.

there is a torrent online you can download and its about 2 gigs of pro video tutorials for ableton live(whole chapter on time warping). i got a new set up and havent gotten another controller for my computer yet so i have been using effin fl studio. ive had my eye on this apc40 for pretty cheap.

yeah...its a pain. im a real perfectionist when it comes to making music, so its taken me somewhere an hour sometimes just to get a a 4 beat harmony down. the worst is when i make something and mess around with it for an hour or so and then realize i hate it and delete it.

definitely don't put anything up on soundcloud you plan on using in a commercial release. someone might snatch it and say it's theirs.

You know you have the option to make the song "Private" so only you can choose who can see it or not?
Plus you have the option to allow downloading of your track or not...
