Did you use any sort of templates or guides? How can you do something like that without knowing what you're doing? lol... you're obviously selling yourself short if you don't think you know what you're doing but end up with finished furniture that is sturdy.

I didn't take any pictures because I wasn't really taking it very seriously when I made it, but he still has the table so I am going to get a picture next time I go over there.

I have no issue believing it, many great woodworkers/cabinet makers
started just the same, bought tools and built a project and just didnt
stop making... I got sick of seeing overpriced furniture made from
particle board, a stupid looking red lacquered TV stand with a couple of
glass shelves for $3000 kinda shit, I started asking the sales people
about construction materials  and resorted to flipping furniture over,
picking off little pieces here and there and even standing or jumping on
some of it, I mean if they're asking $5k for a sofa it better last me a
lifetime


anyway I bought a table saw and a few hand tools and started putting
together a shop, I built my household furniture, over about 3 years


and now for a critique of that crap you posted... pretty damn nice work,
under the top of that dresser I noticed the knob, I assume that's a
drawer, with a few miters that could have been a completely flawless
hidden drawer as well... in fact it gave me an idea for something I want
to try with a dresser, pressure panels on the side, a spot for jewelry
or something, only needs to be an inch or so deep

my only criticism really is on the gossip bench, the drawers should have
had dovetails, other than that it's fine craftsmanship, well executed
designs, good joinery, it shows with the pegs in the side of the bench
holding various components together, the rabbited and dadoed  seat and
the panels you're using internally for stiffening

learn to make dove tails if you dont already know, check out new
techniques like inlaid dovetails, put to gether a few small pieces for
learning on like a hall table that incorporates a hidden drawer in the
skirt and put it on the market for a couple grand, something like the
dresser could fetch around $3k-$5k


for inlaid dovetails and stuff, small object in woods with really nice figure can pull a couple of grans as well, a moderate sized table top humidor


something like this could get several hundred



things like raw edge/flitch built furniture can also pay handsomely
