Third flush is definately slower than the 2nd. 1 cake has 12 nice pins now growing but other than that the other 9 cakes are still bare. The good news with the other cakes is that new myc has formed and the cakes all look nice and white again. They were severely bruised after the 2nd flush. The bruising seems to be all healed now so I am hoping for the others to pin soon.

pins are slowly starting to form on the other cakes now. The one cake looks really nice with several large pins growing nicely. I'll keep updating as the 3rd flush progresses!!

Is new myc supposed to appear on the cakes this late into the grow?? All the cakes now look like they are going into their 1st flush as far as looks. New healthy myc is now covering all the cakes other than the one that is pinning heavily. It did not do this on the 2nd flush and the speed these are moving at is closer to the original progress from the inital dunk to the 1st flush vs the 2nd dunk to the 2nd flush. I guess I will just wait and see if these cakes covered in new myc fruit or not.

Ok, I harvested my first cake of the third flush this morning. I took pics and will post them after work. 30 wet grams from the 1 cake. Much heftier fruits this flush. Two other cakes are producing a couple nice big mushrooms and the others are still just sitting there with really healthy myc covering the cakes. How long should I wait before giving up on the other cakes? They have been in the FC now for only 5 days and as I said they are looking really healthy, just not pinning.
on another note, hows this for luck. my plan was to keep a small amount of these for myself and then trade an ounce or so for some killer KB. We dont get mushrooms in my area very often so the demand is usually really high. I made the contact yesterday to find that my little town was inundated with 30 pounds of mush from CA on Wednesday and that their is more mush than people know what to do with. Of course, my deal fell through at that point so now I am stuck with more mush than I know what to do with and no one who needs any!! Arg.........

Here is the pics of the first two cakes to harvest from flush 3. much larger fruits this flush with far less fruits. There are some real monsters growing on the cakes I have not yet harvested. I will post pics of each cake as I harvest it. Unfortunately I will not be able to see if a flush 4 is possible. We are putting our house up for sale next week and I need to have everything gone for the pending openhouses. Cant wait for my next grow though!!

Really good stuff, man. Hopefully you've got some new projects colonizing? If it was me I'd call it at the third flush. You can keep going and harvest a few more, but if this isn't a one-off grow I'd accept that diminishing returns make it too much effort to keep cakes flushing productively beyond the third flush.

Thanks guys. I harvested a 15 gram mushroom last night so I will post that pic along with the rest of the Cake #3 harvest that will be done this afternoon. Two of the cakes that had produced nothing for the 3rd flush suddenly have decent pin sets showing up. I think I will get a couple nice clusters on those two cakes.
Andymc, I actually have no new projects in the works!! I am going to wait until I get my new home built and then setup a nice grow space with a martha. I really want to get into growing edibles as well.

wow man great grow... i just did my 1st pf tek grow not too long ago and we got similar results  doesnt it feel great??? hahahah my friend whose unfamilliar with our hobby thought they wouldnt be real psychodelic mushies, he ate about 3 grams and said they were the best mushies hes ever gotten. Home grown with a good attitude provides best results

Thanks everyone! Got my biggest mushroom to date last night. Weighed in at just under 20 grams wet. so, I harvested cakes 3-5 last night and got 50 wet grams which includes the 15 gram mush I harvested earlier yesterday. I have five cakes left to harvest and one of them has a great pinset so I am sure that will be a nice pic. I will post the pics of cakes 3-5 tonight!
This brings my total wet weight for flush 3 to basically 100 grams. will probably get another 50 grams from the cakes I have left so that would put this grow all three flushes to about 635 grams!! what an experience!!

will be posting pics shortly but just wanted to mention something I found pretty bizarre. so I harvested my first cake a couple days ago for the 3rd flush. Since I am not doing a fourth flush I just left the cake on the tin foil inside the FC. I was just down misting and fanning and there is a new pin set appearing on that 1st cake! would this be considered a 4th flush without a dunk or just a second 3rd flush?? This happened to be the best cake so far of the 3rd flush as well. it is the 1st pic I posted of the 3rd flush. without dunking I couldnt imagine there will be enough moisture for these to reach maturity.
