Well a bit of an update.
The other tub(veitnam) is still colonizing. Going to give it another 2 days and check it. I checked it last night or the night before and it still had some work to do.
This tub(brazil) Is making headway under the wax paper. Nothing amazing, but its better than nothing.

oops heres the pic.
Should i take off the wax paper? Ive switched it out once. Its been three days again. Its wither take it off or put a new piece on again.

Well I took the wax paper off last night and gave it a light mist.
light mist and fan this morning.
Looked at it this afternoon in some decent light, looks like I got some bruising(circled in blue) from dryness. I also see one that is cracked(red), and one small that is opened up (red).
I'm thinking giving a heavier mist to see if it corrects it. Might mist three times a day and see how it goes.

I spay enough that there's water, let it soak in, then repeat.
So you end up at fully saturated plus some drops. (Not standing water.)
About once a day, twice if it's hot.
Let it evap in between, don't keep it wet.

So spray every time I see that it has no water on it for a bit till it has no more bruising?
It doesn't get hot here. 70 tops. Its been raining and humid here too.
Usually 60 tops outside when its weather like this and its warm.
Dont use heating in the house, bet its 60-65 in the fc.
Hmmm I'm gonna go stick a thermometer and a hygro in there now for shits and giggles.

Ah, ok. Well I just sprayed it somewhat heavy just now, left the sub and the tub slightly glistening and didn't fan.
Will repeat in the morning and just mist once a day. I don't think I need to fan, guess we'll find out.

I been following this as I swapped out some tubs for this shotgun design. I get nervous letting it get that dry. I'm keeping ambient rh around 45-50, but don't have them in closed space like you do.
What's the ambient rh in that martha u keep the tubs in doc?

Humidity inside is set to 85% But I give FAE 15 mins 8x/day.
You know how coir changes color as it dries?
Use that. Let it lighten up, then wet it.

I think it might have dried out since I left the wax paper on for 6 or 7 days with no misting. Not only that, I took the waxpaper off 2 or 3 times a day and put it right back on to get some fae in there.
Looking better today, Big ones are dropping veils.

Ok that makes sense then. I was wondering how you were getting away with watering it once a day. at rh 45 mine is pretty dry by mid-day.
Base-icks - I think you're getting carried away with the wax paper. I've only ever used it to induce pinning. Once the pins start growing I take it off.

The ones I do in the utility room take more water, 1-2x per day.
I wondered about the wax paper- I leave until the pins get big enough to lift it a bit. But that's probaby excessive.

I think next time I'll try no way paper just to see what happens.
They're looking good today. I think its been two day with out the wax paper. A few veils are breaking on the bigger ones. Probably pic in a day or two. Might take a few prints too.
Well today is my birthday. I opened up my present to my self, and here is what I saw.
Its not fully colonised so I'm guessing contam. But fuck it look at that pin set.
It seems pretty most in there so I'm going to let it dry out and spray in the morning.

Heres some pics.
Yesterday, before harvest and printing 8 caps( I Dropped the biggest cap on the floor before it go to the FC, was a shame I really wanted a print that big.)
Heres one after picking, I left some hooping that would get a bit bigger and I want to take more prints.
Heres the picked ones(minus caps being printed) that are laid out with a fan pointing down at them on a shelf.
After I pick and print the ones I left, should I let the sub dry out for a few days like we do with cakes?
Or should I just bath tub the whole tub emediatly after picking?
I'm thinking my dunk would go as followed:
Put in bath tub,
Run some water into it till the liner is full?
Hmmm I bet it will float. Should I weight it down and dunk for 2 hours or something like that and tip it so that the excess runs out?
