Ever meet a shroomery member

that you didn't know on the shroomery before meeting them?

I've never even met a shroomery member, but I wonder if maybe at some party or public gathering you met someone who mentioned to be a part of this forum, and told them you also browsed the website?

I've met people who've heard of the Shroomery, and who browse it, but never a member.

yeah i ended up working with a kid that was a mod here. one day at work he mentioned something about an acid base extraction and i was like... oh really?

i guess it turned out he was a junkie and scammed a bunch of people and got kicked out. this was awhile ago.

Yes, 2 separate times actually. :smile:

First time I was over at a friends house and some kid was coming over to buy a bag of weed or something. Well a couple weeks later he messages me here on the shroomery. I guess I had a pic of myself in my gallery at the time and he recognized me. His SN was GreenAssHands or something like that.

Second time it was a kid I was going to school with. I had gone to school with him for over a year before I found out he had an account on the shroomery. One day I was on the computer in the school library on my lunch break and he walks by as I'm reading a thread and recognized the screen and said "Browsing the shroomery I see...". I would have never guessed he liked to trip before I found out he was on the shroomery. His SN was darklcd or something similar.

I met some people at Happy Schwag who said they were on the shroomery but we didn't exchange usernames. Also my boyfriend uses the site for information but isn't much of a poster.

i think i can filter out the b/s people pretty well. i was on another local forum for almost 10 years until it recently just kind of sputtered out and met a ton of great people, a lot of whom are people that i have cultivated very deep friendships with. i had a couple of bad experiences but overall, no regrets. it's different with a local board though where you have people talking shit to each other who see each other out and about multiple times every week. lots of drama, but i never was sucked up into any of that.

I met people that I knew from here and also ones that I didn't. A lot of the ones that I had never even heard of ended up being cool. It's been a long time though.

There are a lot of ones that I really want to meet but they are too far away or one of us ends up always being unavailable.
