Dude, bottom line...it was a stupid fuckin thing to do. If you dont want the police getting involved with your gang banger party with stolen cars parked outside, with friends that have warrants...the last thing you should be doing is yelling in the front yard and throwing shit at passing cars. Im sure anybody at that party would agree with me.
And like I said before, the dumbest thing anybody could have done in that situation is walk over and try to reason with a crowd of drunk mexican gangsters. Theyre not buds or something. "oh hey man whats up? Sorry about that...it was stupid. I promise not to do it again. Have a good night holmes!"
At the end of it all, they all stormed into the street and beat the shit out of eachother. Call me crazy, but they didnt seem like the most "down to earth" bunch.

It seems everyone here is eaither of the opinion that you did the right thing by calling the cops or you should have confronted them yourself.
I think you should have just ignored them all together. You would have gotten killed if you confronted them and by calling the cops you are an asshole who still might get killed.

A little late now, but when you live around a bunch of crazy gangstas, your best bet is to get real friendly with them from the start. Say hi when walking by them, maybe offer em a beer from time to time, smoke a blunt with em'. They are well known for being protective over their turf, and had they known your from the block they probably wouldn't have thrown shit at you in the first place. Back when i lived int he hood, being in good with the gangs saved me tons of grief.

OP, you obviously did the right thing and have nothing to worry about as people have said before. i have a feeling people calling you a snitch have some insecurities to work through. to those people; i wouldn't say shit like that to actual people IRL, they'll think you're simple and you'll never get in with a respectable crowd.
