I'm in line with the philosopher Ken Wilber who calls for an integral approach. Both psychology and mysticism contain pieces of the puzzle and can lead to greater understanding.

I think I'm aware you think that.
-------------------- "People convince themselves of their own lies, becoming victims of their own inventions as they begin to direct their lives by standards of behavior, ideas, feelings, or instincts which do not correspond to their inner reality. What is truly serious in this matter is that the individual loses all points of reference regarding what comprises truth, and what comprises lies. He becomes used to considering as true only that which is convenient for his personal interests; everything that is in opposition to his self-esteem or in conflict with already established prejudices, he considers false."

Like you, I am based off my personal experiences. It's a shame people let acculturation shut them off to a whole universe of ideas.

I agree. I'd really like to see psychology address more of the things mysticism is looking at. In practical application. Something to be taught in grade school or such would be amazing.

I'd recommend reading some Peter Carroll or Phil Hine if you're interested in chaos magick, or just if you want to ask me anything. http://english.grimoar.cz/ has many online documents related to the occult.
Thanks, I'm definitely going to look into it. I have an obsession with my unconscious/ subconscious that dreaming alone and meditation can't fill.
One more question: What religion were you raised with, if any?
None whatsoever. I sometimes thank my parents for releasing me into the world devoid of harmful programming.

Get up and stretch sometime, d00d. Staying for too long in a seated position can lead to leg cramps.
