I hear ya'... That's seriously gotta suck bigtime. Right in the fucking eye, just the experience of going through it all and dealing with it while and afterwords. Yeesh, thinking about it's giving me fucking shivers.

It was obviously not on purpose. The kid was obviusly dead, with no hope of being revived (close range, 13 year old, that small 9mm bullet probably tore his hiead up). The next thing that is likely to come to a kid's mind is whether or not he'll be taken away from his safety net (parents) that he has relied on in every adverse circumstance he's probably been in.

Seems reasonable to me. I don't want to go to jail.

ok, perhaps the parent is at partial blame here, but the kid still could have avoided this in SO many ways:

1.) unloading the gun
2.) not dicking around with guns
3.) never point a gun at anyone
4.) don't check to see if there is still 1 bullet left by pulling the trigger

was making sure an ambulance wasn't necessary. You never want to dispatch EMT's/ALS to a house where there was a gun shot unless the person is still alive. If the person was in fact still bleeding they would only dispatch them AFTER police arrived wasting lots of time

yeah true could have easily been prevented, but kids is kids, and gun is always going to fascinate them.
