Heading out to Joshua Tree this weekend with the woman.
Not roughing it.. we'll be staying in a house there.
But much hiking will be done, and chemicals consumed!
I'll try and remember to take a bunch of pics.
It should be epic and magical!
Should be pretty cool.... high desert is kind of a new landscape to me.

Joshua Tree is interesting, i've only been through there a time or two when i was younger. But it's a place i've always wanted to go back to, and consume a few things while there  .
The desert is awesome, there's just something about it and a certain feeling i have when i'm there...

If u want a good desert go to gobi desert or australian outback... ive been to both and i cant say which one is more magnificent ...

I'm generally not a huge fan of deserts.. too hot and sunny and too many prickly shit and scorpions and whatnot.
I usually prefer me some nice lush, ranforest type environments. But desert does have it's special charm.. high desert is a whole nother cool thing altogether.

Just make sure to turn yer shoes over and give them a coupla nice whacks before putting them on.
Joshua Tree / Borrego Springs / Death Valley ... all great places for mystical adventures. Between now and mebbe April 25 be ideal; after that, and until early October, you'll bake your ass.

Hour and 20 mins drive for us.... we're going back in a few weeks.. that place rocks.
Wasn't expecting it to be so huuge. It would take weeks to explore that place, by car.
