I know this kid who tokes up constantly and asked him what he could get me for 60 bucks and he called his boy and he said a half ounce of high quality mids, I was happy as fuck and just gave him the 60 on the spot and said I wanted it in a couple days so my tolerance went down. I was like fuck yeah I got a new hookup who can get me dank weed for cheap, sweet. Well he just called and said he got me an eighth of BOMB ass headies from a different kid. I'm pissed, I don't know if I wanna get my bud and then beat the shit outta him or if I should bitch him out, or just get the bud and never ask him again. Or should I be happy? I personally like packing nice fat bowls of plain no name mids. I like slow tokin not one hitter quitters. What do you guys think I should do...? I'm fuckin pissed because I was all happy to get this and now I'm pissed. Seriousely like what the fuck. Should I just like demand this kid to get me the half ounce or what. I'm only happy about the fact that I learned to not pay ahead of time..

I live in Canada and around here you can't get no half oz for $60.
Your getting the same "mid's" as you would have got in the first place, he picked up a 1/4 and is giving you half.

I'd wait to do that till AFTER he gives you the bud so he doesn't have a chance to just say, "ok, fuck you, I'm keepin your weed AND your money." sadly, there's so many people out there like that.. That sucks dude. I like getting mids too, just for the pleasure of smoking, and $60 for 1/2 oz. is just about right.
But to get 1/4 of what you thought, even if it is dank is a bit of a letdown.
And $60 an 1/8 for good kind bud is about right, i can usually find an 1/8 of kind bud for ~ $45-60 depending on grade.
If hes tossing you a few more grams, then it all good i guess.

Sometimes though,I'll be smoking a joint and it gets to a point where I know I'm stoned enough and there's still about a third left but because I don't want to put it out,I smoke it all and I'm just cabbaged. Not good for anything.

I cant believe so many of you are skeptical of good mids selling for 60 a half. I was getting oz's for 100 a few years ago and that was good mids. Usually around where I live a half is 70 for mids, and the high quality "medical" grade stuff is 50 a 1/8. No more 100 oz's though the guy I knew was getting pounds and pounds mailed to him, eventually he got busted by federal marshals or some shit. Wasn't brick either nice fluffy mids. I like getting a nice big quarter of mids sometimes instead of an 1/8 of dank if I plan on smoking down with a bunch of friends just lasts longer and you can enjoy it. Yeah but dude don't ever front people money that you just met or barely know.

I completely agree with this. Only time I made that mistake, these people told me

payed 80 for a quarter, ate a sack and ended up with the intensity of trip I would expect from 1g of good mushies. If I were you I would just be content with what I got. Here an eight costs 60 so I don't really see the problem.
You could smoke a little and see if its as good as he says and if it is you could keep it and smoke it yourself or if you still want the half just sell it. Its only an eight you can get rid of that without trying and then call the kid up and tell him you want that half.

I have paid 60 an 8th for weed. I have seen people claim " I'd never pay that" see some "weed" that drops their jaw and they fork over the cash no questions asked.

I can get a 1/8th of some dank for 60 but it's not worth it. It smells and tastes better, but it doesn't do much more than the cheaper mids. If I had the option I think I would pick the cheaper shit every time. It lasts longer and does the job pretty damn well.

Guys, this is really a cultural thing.
In the South, particularly around Texas and Louisiana, there are three kinds of weed:
Schwag (60 an ounce)
Midi (60 a half, 120 an ounce)
Good/dank/whatever. Its all good shit that had to travel and thus became not as good. (60-70 an 1/8th)
I don't buy weed around here, but this is standard for many places in the country.

I would say this is pretty spot on. Most people try to sell the schwag as mids and charge the cost of mids. Same happens with people selling good mids and saying that it is danks for dank prices. I don't fuck around with idiots like that anymore, but I will admit to being a sucker like that in the past.
I love the mids we have here. If it is all I had for the rest of my life I really would be content. I am a bit of a weed snob, so the mids have got to be damn good for me to buy even a half ounce for 60 bucks. I usually get a ounce for 100-120.
I find that a lot of people buy and smoke schwag thinking that they have mids. I smoke them out and they think my mids are dank. It's funny.

And most the time the strain name is wrong they just change it to make it sound like something people are looking for. Half the dealers I know buy from growers who I know even better and they(the dealers) almost always change the name of the strain to something everybody knows as good weed or wants. Strain names on the street are a joke. Clubs usually got it down.
Never go by strain name, it shouldn't even matter to you unless your into growing and your looking for seed.

And anyone who wants to argue mids don't support violence.
Mids sit around for months to years before they get sold. They get wetted down, compressed, mis handled, and are full of crappy stems and seeds you have to work through. They always taste the same, and always give you the same groggy useless high, and have more tar then thc, smoking a joint of mids is almost impossible towards the end because it's so harsh and goopy. They come from shadey assholes who put no love into the plant, just mass grow it for distribution.
You don't need to grow your own pot to know someone who does, or find a decent source for someone who puts love into their plants. I would, ANY DAY of the week, spend 100 on a quarter of good seedless unique dank, then drop one hundred on an ounce of brick weed I was goign to roll into blunts that barely get me high. 1 bong rip of good dank is all I need to enjoy a very nice high, which is full of robust flavor and is always different based on the strain.
If people would quit smoking shitty weed, there would be no market for it, and if people would continue to want dank at cheaper prices, the prices would go down, and the market would go up.

It's not more cost effective either, you smoke less if you buy better, and if you don't that's your own fault.

Thats really all you see around ohio. Brick nasty shit for 60-70 a half, or really incredible dank for 50-60 an 8th. Ounces of "mids" go for 100-120, and ounces of dank go for 280-350.
I can't smoke any of it.

Yeah our dank is 40-60 an 1/8 and mids are 30-40 an 1/8 and I can't get shittier than that. I haven't seen weed here with seeds in many years. I mean you may fund a few in O of mids but no more than 5.

i mean i totally understand never wanting to smoke brick if all you smoke is chronic. where i'm living now there's nothing but medical quality in circulation and for prices you wouldn't believe.
zips are commonly 150-180 and i'm talkin dispensary picture perfect buds everytime. so yea anytime someone offers me anything less than high quality i nearly always turn em down unless i happen to be really short and it's a legitimately good deal.
but depending on location there's definitely moments where brick is the better buy. though i have a feeling as time progresses and more states get turned on to MMJ programs we'll see a national overabundance of amazing quality herbs.

I used to smoke brickweed all the time. Now I can't even find it anywhere and the good stuff is all I get.
But to be honest I don't really think the price difference is worth it. I got mids on the higher end for $90 an ounce and now I pay $60 for an 8th.

You have a different defination of what we call mids. If a blunt does not get you high that is not mids. That is imported trash.
Mids to us here are domestically grown outdoor. A lot of time it has no seeds in it or very few. It is never pressed, it gets a proper manicure and usually smokes and tastes well.
Yeah organized crime grows it, but you are insane if you think organized crime does not deal dank too.
Here is a pic. yeah it has a bean or two, this batch actually could of been manicured better but it was really fucken good. Best part.... it is 1/4 the price of dank. and is probably 3/4 the potency of dank.
I am poor too and like to get high and spend my money on other stuff.

My theory is we are seeing a lot more mids instead of shwag because the people running the show are now trying to grow it in the USA instead of running it across ever more tightening country borders. 10 years ago there was a lot more shwag and some dank, now there is a lot less shwag out there.

We don't really have shwag/mids/dank here, as far as pricing goes. An 8th is always $40, quarter's pretty much always $80, but ounces vary (pretty sure it's around 200-300...I've never personally bought an ounce) And it's more like "Wow, this is some good weed" or "Ehh, kind of shitty weed this time". It's like shittier weed doesn't cost less a lot of the time, but that dealer will get less business.
Maybe it's cause I'm so close to Canada?
And if that's mids up in that picture, I really want to know what the shitty weed looks like.
