Skunking is a product of the hops and UV light. If it's kept properly, some beers age well.

Most homebrew keeps getting better for about 6 months. Then it depends on how complicated the hops bouquet is and how thick the barley. Generally speaking, darker lasts longer....

Way to regurgitate a Sam Adams commercial.
Have you ever had skunky beer??!?!

Heineken tastes like hot dogs anyways.
Green Bottled beer comes that way for a reason - by slightly skunking their beer they can use less ingredients but still have a 'taste'.
Mexi beers accomplish this to an even higher degree with their totally clear bottles.

As stated before, it has much to do with how you store it (like wine).
Usually I only age really kind brews with a 10+ alcohol percent. Although I've heard anything above 6% will age.
I've aged Belgians and Imperial stouts so far. (my fav kind)

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?
