it has been stated already, but it is clear that psychedelics have, indeed, taught the OP nothing.
they chose not to, because they recognized the OP wasn't worth their time.

Amen to this thread.
The worst is when they listen to music they probably don't enjoy just because they think it's supposed to sound good when you're baked. I always make fun of the one friend I have who is kind of a typical stoner. If I ever put on anything remotely harsh or hard to follow, he's like "This is kinda not chill."
"probably light up a ciggarette. "man im so stoned"."
That made me

i've never said i have not learned things from psychedelics, but its all in a VERY round-a-bout way. just like i said i learned things from speed as well, but I don't take these lessons to heart.

I like to say psychedelics provide the question, not the answer.
But the question is half way there.

Yeah.
Most people I know who've learned lessons on psychs, either:
Could have learned the lessons earlier: but "needed" the psycho-torture to shove it in their face. or Are not thinkers by nature, they need their walls torn down to process anything below the surface.

Personally, I hate the whole Tim Burton/Hot-topic OMGZ SHROOMS TRIPZORS poseur psychedelic people/clique/scene.

I fail to see how someone's perception can just be "magically" re-alligned. Take for example something as simple as the sky. I loved it as a kid, but spent the next few years not giving a fuck. Now I trip out even if I'm sober and there' some fluffy clouds in the sky. Its something small, but definitely a change for me that psychedelics have caused. How else would I have made this change? Would I have magically started to love the sky?

I smoked tons of weed with tons of pot heads in highschool. It was awesome. I had tons and tons of fun, and we never spent too much time sitting around, we were wusually cracking jokes, hanging out with parents and conversing, jamming on instruments, or going places and doing things.
I never hung out with anyone who had anything that said 420 on it though......nor did any of my friends not graduate, in fact I finished when I was 17 and smoked dailey, and "baked out".
The group of "stoners" I hung out with, also progressed onto better things, nurses, artists, teachers, bartenders, chefs, auditors, etc etc. I can only think of a couple that actually sucked at everything, and it didn't matter at the time because we were enjoying the moment and laughing and getting high.
I also smoked with tons of different "stoners". Tons of first timers, jocks who smoked after games, parents, punks, metal heads, wiggers, and blacks, and it was never gay, nor could I ever generalize them all into one group of people.
Really sounds to me like you just didn't cope well in highschool, and probably wanted to shoot everyone, and now you are complaining about it online.

What problem?
Quote:
i remember back in highschool all the kids would smoke pot and think they were so cool, and be in their little "pot-head" clique, and then have their parents buy them stupid stoner gear, and bob marley rasta 420 clothes. (that they got from the mall)
Then they would go out and spend their parents money to buy shwaggy pot (but don't worry man, its SUPER STONEY!!) and then gather in little groups, of course excluding the kids that don't have enough money to buy their shitty pot and stupid clothes. they were such low-lifes, always skipping class, most if not all never graduated. they seemed to be perfectly fine with throwing their opportunity away so they could congregate around a circle and smoke their shwaggy pot!
Sounds like you hold a lot of resentment. Were you not part of this clique? Were you part of ANY clique? I bet there were other kids who wanted to hang out with you, but you probably didn't let them/made fun of them/ignore them or figured because the way they acted or dressed they could never possibly in a million years be your friend. I know that in high school I didn't fit in hardly anywhere. I didn't do drugs, I didn't want to drink, I was bad at sports, and so on and so forth. I spent most of my time online, and look, here I am still years after graduating, online. But I don't go around holding resentment that I was never part of any 'cliques'. I have friends now, so that's all that matters. I think you grouping "stereotypical" stoners in this manner is a bit harsh and oversimplifying things. I have noticed a similar trend among most stoners, and I would love to shoot a documentary on the stoner culture because there are many facets to it. Many different people who come together to partake in these activities, to enjoy each other's company and to enjoy a drug they all love. Nothing wrong with chillin' with friends... I think you're just sore because you weren't in their circle.
Quote:
and of course they aren't even interesting either, because all they do is sit around and smoke pot!! after they finish smoking their crappy weed they just awkwardly sit around, brown-frown on their face, red eyes...nothing to talk about, probably light up a ciggarette. "man im so stoned".
again, oversimplifying, but I must admit that I have several friends and myself included that loved sitting back, feeling the high coming on strong and saying "man, I'm stoooned". Usually we'd say that as a filler. I know with other people, when they're hanging out they use other filler words such as "soooo" or "yeah" or "howabout them yankees?" I think typically when someone proclaims how stoned they are, it's almost like a "thank you" to the weed that it provided what they wanted, a nice high. Or maybe there's not much conversation flowing and they feel uncomfortable with silence for whatever reason. We may never know...
Quote:
so fuckin lame. its a drug, glorifying its abuse is the most childish and immature thing!
"oh no mon, its totally safe to use daily, mon, its an herb not a drug, mon. i smoke so much pot, everyday!" fuck you
No comment on this.

Being social is so lame! There's no way several people could have a conversation about something that might be entertaining or engaging while stoned!
Because, like, that's all we did when i first started smoking.
Then I realized, hey, the whole introspective nerd fantasy book drug culture thing is great and fun and whatever, but downhill mountainbiking is way more fun stoned.
I then went through a "doing everything stoned" phase. From volleyball in the living room (awesome, btw) to painting, to driving hundreds of miles, I discovered everything is awesome stoned.
Then I met up with the houseparty crowd and got stoned and drunk by and with who knows how many total random strangers. This was cool because it restored my faith in humanity a little bit. Most people aren't douchebags!
Now i'm sort of petering off the "kegga plateau" what lies below... I do not know!!!
Jeeeeeesus i'm high.
