Good trade if he can stay healthy
Cavs giving up Z and Hickson
Sad to see Hickson leave but Cavs are helping him have a good night in what could be his last game

Probably. I dont see Z playin much in Indy
Hickson will probably start getting minutes. He is a young guy who is really developing nice. I wish Cleveland kept him
I thought Cleveland would only give up Hickson if they could get Amare.
Cavs with a 12 game winning streak on the line tonight

Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to the Cavs for Z.

Isnt quite Amare but Jamison is a solid player and considering Cavs didnt have to give up Hickson. That is huge.
I dont know how I feel about having a ex-Washington Wizard on my team now but we'll see how it works out

The trade definitely makes Cleveland a much smaller team. Anderson, Jamison, Powe, and Williams are all going to have to slide from PF and fill minutes at C. Doesnt hurt too much when you have a LeBron James who can play PF when Shaq needs a rest

Plus there's an outside chance that Washington could opt to waive Z and he could rejoin Cleveland after 30 days
I know that is what they were banking on in the Phoenix deal

The Wiz pulled this trade to clear salary. I believe he'll be bought out and return to CLE in 30 days.
I believe NBA rules allow a player a team just traded for to be immediately traded straight up for another player (the newly acquired player cannot be traded as part of a package deal). Dallas has allegedly expressed some interest in acquiring Z, but who would they have to give up in a straight up trade for Z? He is making a lot of money this year so they cant send back their 12th man or anything.

Yeah. Good game, kind of depressing seeing how LeBron left the court. Im sure they wanted to set the franchise win record pretty badly
Will definitely be a better team once Jamison gets adjusted
Looking forward to this LA vs. Boston game. I hate the Celts.

given the lay off, the trade deadline rumors, and the Nugs playing extra hard for Coach Karl's cancer... I didn't think it was gonna be this close. I though the Nugs were gonna win by 10.
Cavs missed a lot of bunnies and FTs tonight (specifically Shaq and LeBron) still a good game tho.

Yeah, I think once Jamison gets in the lineup Cavs will be even better. Jamison is wayy better than Z
I think we're going to end up with Z back on the roster by playoff time anyways
Obviously everyone in Cleveland just prays we can resign Bron' after the year

yeah Jamison is a good pickup. Cavs will get Z back. so we got him for a 1s round pick; not a bad trade.
JJ sucked balls tonight. IMO. really overrated until he gets a consistent 15 foot jumper.
the Cavs win it all and he resigns for another 3 yrs. its that simple. who would leave for less money when they have a chance to defend the title?

I agree with everything you said except for about Hickson
Hickson is a stud. He's a 2nd year player who has gotten better and better each year. Give him another 1-2 years with LeBron and he is as good a PF as anyone in the NBA. He also brings an Andersen Varejo type energy to the floor. I love those young guys we got

yeah but Im tired of his defensive mental lapses. also, he often times can't seem to catch the damn ball when he gets a sweet pass tossed his way.
dude has stone hands.
he lost at least three bunnies tonight b/c he couldnt catch the ball. and he most definitely needs a mid range jumper. Rashard Lewis wouldnt even come out to the foul line to guard him during the game vs. ORL b/c he cant hit a jump shot.
I realize he has the physical talents and can jump out of the gym, but he needs to progress. Trading him and Z's expiring for Amare woulda been a coup.

I definitely I would have loved to get Amare
But honestly I think this trade is better. Jamison is a proven all-star in his own sense.
I know you dont seem to high on JJ. but for a 2nd year player, I think he is going to continue to get better. Hell, ive seen him play some GREAT games this year.
We'll see. Cleveland is a better team now. I think they should have the East on lock unless they have some major injury
It was nice to see Mo back in action tonight

Oh yeah. I not complaining that the Cavs got Jamison and didnt have to give up JJ. he is raw and most likely continue to develop, but they need a more seasoned PF to win this year, and they got one for pretty much nothing, assuming Z comes back.
I just figured at this point giving up JJ for a proven guy like Amare would have been a no brainer. but turns out the Suns wanted too much anyways.
Jamison should start IMO. this team is stacked and I'm excited about an owner of a CLE team that is actually willing to spend.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.
Hickson is very valuable. I watch about 75% of the Cavaliers games between having NBA.TV and TNT usually plays them. I am VERY happy Ferry didnt part with Hickson
Jamison will most definitely be a starter, but being able to bring Hickson off the bench to fill for him is amazing. It's pretty much a done deal that Z comes back, Washington doesnt want his 10-11 million dollar contract when they have no chance at even making the playoffs

Well, here's another to add to the list: "Largest Gathering of People Wearing Fleece Blankets."
That's right, every fan at the Cleveland Cavaliers' March 5 game against the Detroit Pistons will wear a limited edition Snuggie before the game's tip-off. After five snuggly minutes, the Guinness World Record adjudicator will give the official word that the record for, um, "largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets" has been set.
Fans cheer, flashbulbs ignite, LeBron dislocates his shoulder trying to disrobe the fleece straightjacket.
Welcome to Cleveland, Antawn.

Shaq is out for the rest of the regular season; he'll return in time for the playoffs. They really only brought him on for ORL and the Lakers. The Cavs stand a good chance to get through the rest of the conference w/o him.
Big Baby Davis slapped down on the ball and got some of shaq's R thumb when he was going up for a dunk, tore or sprained some ligaments in the thumb.

This is the best possible outcome for the Cavs.
They didn't need him during the regular season, and are a better team without him.
But they will need him in the Eastern Conference Finals, because Dwight Howard is on a fucking rampage and cannot be stopped by anyone on their roster.

Cavaliers be doin' things again
As the day closes; it looks a little something like this Gains: Baron Davis via LAC, Semih Erden (24 year old, 7 footer out of Turkey) via Celtics, Luke Haragody (23, 6-7 Forward) via Celts, and biggest gain 1st round pick via LAC currently lottery pick eligible.
Losses: Mo Williams, Jamario Moon to LAC and 2013 2nd round pick to Celts
Overall, I wish we didnt have to take on Baron Davis' huge contract but being able to get a 3rd 1st round pick along with 2 round picks means the Cavs have a lot of potential. Any free agent adds would need to be vet big men. imo

Cavs certainly have the youth and talent to potentially be the Chicago Bulls after they signed Rose and Noah.
Returning Guards include: Baron Davis, Ramon Sessions, Daniel Gibson, and the underrated Manny Harris
Forwards/Centers: Jamison, Hickson, Varejo, Harangody, Erden and Eyenga
2 Lottery Picks + 2, 2nd rounders Bring us Kyrie Irving/Perry Jones or Derrik Williams and Jonas Valanciunas/Donatas Motiejunas/ or Kemba Walker (possibly John Henson if he slips to our 2nd pick)
2nd rounders will be used on role players, but should be able to get decent talent with a top 5 pick in the 2nd round.
I just hope Danny Ferry doesnt pull a douche move and trade our picks in this years draft for additional future picks
