By doing what, exactly? Lame-ass non-factor.
Interesting little one category protective move by robby. He uses his last move to pick up his 7th OF only to safeguard his steals from me (probably unnecessarily). Meanwhile, he has a 3B who may well miss the rest of the season and is 3 games over at OF and 1 game over at Util. Not quite sure I get the thinking there. He's got Liz right behind him in Runs and Ribbies, although she has her own OF overplays herself. Still. A 3 run and 1 RBI lead would tend to make one think that he should just get as many spots filled as possible.

Well the season's pretty much over so here's my post season report.
The Good
Though I missed the draft I wound up with a pretty good team. I'm glad I pushed the issue with pitching and I wound up with a strong starting lineup and what I thought were a couple prime relievers (more on those schmucks later). What holes I had in my offense I patched up well with free agents. Wiggy beasted for a while, so did Alex Gonzolez, Delmon Young, and Luke Scott in the late season. Also I had what I to this day were solid picks all around. Nick Swisher, Carlos Gonzolez, and Ubaldo were players that were not a stroke of luck for me. All around, I think I played pretty well. Not 1st/2nd place caliber, but pretty damn well.
The Bad
Trades fucking killed me. I dealt CC for no good reason and I regretted that decision constantly. Halladay for Gallardo was a downgrade but certainly not as grievous an error as dealing the Chubby Champion. The Matt Capps trade would have been solid had my other two closers gone to shit. Broxton, who should have been a beast for saves, lost his closing role. Same goes for Leo Nunez, though... to this day I don't really know who he is. I acted like SB and saves didn't count which was idiotic. Sticking with Barry Zito all year was pretty dumb too.
The Ugly
Good or bad, luck plays a huge part in this game, and I definitely caught the better half. Rickie Weeks and Paul Konerko, two players who I knew nothing about got auto-drafted for me and were absolute champions all year. I got lucky with several of my free agents too, Wiggy and DY mostly. Early Barry Zito was also a ton of good luck but I should have got while the gettin was good. My closers collapsing was a bit of bad luck as well.
It's been a fun year fellas (and lady... (zappa)) and I can't wait until next year.

Everybody else is category chaff for the battle between me and robbyberto. We really are the only relevant participants. There may occasionally be some lucky blind squirrels but I think it's pretty clear. We rule. You drool.
