it's a very bad idea, the flare gun isnt designed to withstand the pressure a 12 gauge produces

here's the result

no, the barrel of the flare gun wouldnt be able to handle the pressure,
you could make a squib by emptying the powder from the shell but it
could cause some problems as well

check the laws regarding 'non-lethal' projectiles, in some states it's
illegal for civilians, also consider that you could be sued for any
injuries you cause even if it's someone breaking in to kill you, any cop
(and a lot of people defending themselves) will tell you that it's best to
shoot to kill

so on a forest not on this planet?  because, even if there is a predator in Wisconsin and I live in Texas, he is outside of my home...

The point I am making is there are bad people on this PLANET...your view on this whole thing displays ignorance of what really goes on in the real world...

problem with shoot to kill is the family can sue u in a civil suit for potential life earnings...i'd rather pay for some broken ribs than speculation on said "victim" or have just an assult on officer than murder of officer. i'm jus sayin

it's unlikely, they can try and file a wrongful death suit but the chances
of it standing in court are nil, if the home invader/assailant lives he
has the ability to testify and can give any story he wants as to why he
was there and you tried to kill him and you could serve prison time as
well as the lawsuit, in the vast majority of cases when justifiable
homicide/self defense is the verdict or outcome of an investigation the
victim is immune from civil liability under the law and in the rare case
that a judge will allow a lawsuit of that nature to go through, a jury
will in most cases shoot it down since the person was killed in the
commission of a criminal act

http://theoaklandpress.com/articles/2009/08/28/news/cops_and_courts/doc4a97a70622185219277908.txt

Bernard Goetz was prosecuted, the press called him the NY Subway
Vigilante when he killed some thugs that were attempting to beat and rob
him, the prosecutors office originally wouldnt have charged him even
though he was illegally in possession of a fire arm when he defended
himself, what changed it was his statements to the press

the claim made in this article claims that the men were panhandling to
get money to play videogames even though 3 of the 4 possessed screw
drivers which one claimed they were using to pry open the coin boxes on
games at arcades

the odd thing about it all, you're more likely to get into legal trouble if you defend yourself with your fists

As i mentioned above,

i live on this side of the planet, simply because i can find some peace and safety right now, far away from perverts and maniacs who conform to whatever bullshit law is ready made for them, from aqsshole politicians...

If for any reason this stops to be as it is, i'm out of here...i prefer to be a nomad, than to put my life on the risk of shooting to protect it.

It's just a matter of choosing your life style you know.....but tell me, if something goes terribly wrong in a few years, and everyone starts fighting each other for food, will you still stay exactly where you are and shoot each other for a cheeseburger?? I bet you would.

The earth is still big enough and has plenty of room for perverts, chasing gun users and peaceful forests full of flowers and Amanitas (without perverts hiding in the bushes and African lions roaring every few meters...)
