It seems that in most cases you can either take one or the other. I hate the heat but do fine in below zero weather, that's why I live in MI.

I can't really vote, seeing as i've never even been to the US.
I'd imagine the state with the harshest drug laws would get my vote.

Kansas & MS. the only 2 states i ever lived in (im never in the same state anymore now for more than like a week or 2) and they sucked. god.

The south has uber harsh mushroom laws, even if your not picking actives you get fucked with, I got put in jail once for picking blewits, they released me an hour later, I wasnt even trespassing.

I moved out of Florida for a reason.
The only things I miss are the beach, FL wild life, and pier, flat and deep sea fishing...and Cuban and Nicaraguan food.

I haven't been to a lot of the states on that list so I can't really say.
Out of those I have been to/driven though: VT, NY, CT, MA, NJ, KY, OH, PA, MD, DE, VA, WV, DC, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, CA, CO, UT, WY
And out of all of those that I have been to I'd have to pick Ohio. I've been there more times than I can count, and I have had a lot of fun there, but living there would suck. Flat, depressing landscape, gets cold as balls and snows like crazy in the Winter. Even places like Columbus just seemed.. meh.
I'm surprised at how many people chose FL. Sure inland sucks, but near the beach is awesome, especially Gulf side.

i actually voted florida cus of the draconian cannabis laws and the trashy people that live here. as far as weather and beauty goes its really the best state (maybe not the swamps) too bad all the fucking trash here ruined alot of the land
