People say to just throw the entire jar away if it gets contaminated, what do you think about getting the contaminants out of the jar?

if you want your jar back, PC or boil it forever (90min+) then dump it outside then bleach soak it for 20min then wash as normal or PC again to sterilize 4sure.

thats the long way.

I just dump it out and wash them good, they get PCd when I use them next anyway.

Do you mean reusing the jar after cleaning it out or trying to get the contaiminate out? I would not try to rescue a jar its just not worth infecting your house and future grows

Im like 13 i just dump and clean and reuse

It seems to have worked just opened and scooped out with a sterilized spoon outside. I used two syringes between these jars and microwave sterilized so that may be why they contamed.

No it's also the jar with the most growth with almost all the outside colonized.

I can almost gaurantee that if you see mold then it is through out the sub. It will recover and fuck your shit up

the myc wont tranfer anything/contams in to the fruitbodies except a few heavy metals.

if the mold is growing on the shroom itself thats differant.

green mold wont hurt you unless your allergic to begin with. it just messes up all future grows once spores are airborn. :eek:

Messing up your future grows is reassuring. I think if ppl were telling me that I would think again about what im thinking of doing. My house is pure nastiness I get contaims all the time I have rainbow jars sitting on my veranda. O shit i dont i cleaned them up but you dont want to fuck your house up

It's not like an entire jar of mold just one little spot and it was caught early most likely before spores dropped and it was done outside so...
And who mentioned future grows? I will be out of this house before these jars are finished anyway.
