Werd. Ive had rockbox on mine for years. Its esp great since you need no additional software to add music to it. Turns it into a plug and play hdd. Not to mention the level of customization.
Best thing I ever did to my iPod, though it doesn't work on anything newer than the iPod video's.

I effin love my iPod touch.
I really only use it for the apps... and as far as storage goes, i can use the Pandora app to stream music...
I just got my touch a couple months ago... should have held out for the 3rd gen.
*insert regret for getting a Best Buy credit card with a $5000 limit*

Meh, i always want the biggest and best. If it's at a somewhat reasonable price that is. And waiting 5 months isn't that much of a price to pay for better quality and more things to play with. I love new things. And having the newest gadgets makes me feel good inside.

I kept my iPod Photo for 3 years until it literally died. I'm definitely not a "I've had this iPod for a year and the new one's coming out so I have to get rid of this perfectly functioning iPod"
After my 30GB iPod Photo died, I bought the 160GB iPod Classic (for the same price as the older 30GB sold for). I chose that over the first gen iPod touch because of how much music I have. I now have like 30GB left on it, but it's a good mixture of music and TV Shows.
In an odd series of events, I ended up getting an 8GB 1st Gen iPhone for $0.50 and then traded that for an 8GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch which I still have and use daily. Jailbreaking it was the best thing ever.

Well I'm thoroughly disappointed. I'm glad my 1st gen 160GB iPod Classic and my 2nd gen 8GB iPod Touch are both in perfect working order, because they didn't do anything major to either.
I've already downloaded the new firmware and now I'm just waiting for the official Jailbreak to come out.

I was super pissed. Like, they didn't even change anything besides the processing speed and the openGL thing. And its only for the 32gb and 64gb models. The 8gb model is a 2nd gen. Why would they still sell it? Need to empty stock or something? I'm sorry but this has been by far the worst Apple event in the history of Apple.

For the sake of I've already sunk my money into these devices and they're working perfectly fine for me, I like what I have and Apple can fuck off until what I have stops working.
