Saw neighbor beating up girl, beat the fuck out of him

was it out of line to do this?

i was over at my friends house and i was wasted, and i saw the dude hitting on his old lady so i went over there and just started wailing on the dude. it was like three houses down. the dude ran off the other way and the chick ran inside...

my friend was kind of mad at me for coming back in to his house cuz he had drugs there and stuff but then he was like, good job, whatever, lets just split incase someone calls the 5-0.

so we split.

thoughts? i don't think its right to hit women, and i was drunk so i just went and handled the dude up.

I was just beating up my wife when this drunken asshole ran over and started hitting me! I ran off to get my gun, and I'm gonna go back and kill that fucker and his friends!
