I've used amanitas about a dozen times. I find the trip to be unpredictable because the potencey can vary from one cap to the next. I did 30 grams once. Whhhoooooooo! .... Very much like a 4th plateau trip....
10g of amanitas and some good bud is hella nice....
300mg + some good bud is wonderful...
With DXM, it's all about finding your dosage levels...
150mg for me is like an immediate anti-depressant effect.
300mg, slight euphoria, feelings of well being.
600mg, I'm a creepy social butterfly.
900mg, movies, music, or a good book is all I can muster.
1000-1200 is pretty much a lay on my back with eyes closed watching cev's dose.
Anything above is a waste for me.
My usual dose is 300mg. You just gotta work with it.
I always fast the day of dosing, and sometimes eat grapefruits throughout the day to get the enzyme inhibitor working for my benefit.

Not much to say really. In my case, if I drink coffee, or consume pure caffienne, I'm alright. Doesn't do much to me.
If I drink coffee with milk, or if I have coffee and cake that's been made with butter, then I'll get irritable, sweat, heart races and I feel anxious.
That's it. Lasts for about two hours, and I geek out.

You do know that grapefruit juice inhibits the CYP3A4 enzyme, which is NOT the enzyme that breaks down DXM (CYP2D6)?

Only time I ever had it was suger coated pills from India. Same drug, with only some coloured wax, sugar and edible ink as buffer. And in that form, it's a plesant drug. At least I found it plesant
The bit where I was able to see an episode of red dwarf as if I was actually on the ship with my eyes closed still to this day remains one of my top "that's interesting" moments on drugs.

I've done the GFJ + DXM method literally dozens of times. Refined it in fact. I can eat two grapefruits throughout the day of dosing, then dose, and eat one more GF and the trip is very different. I even concluded that the fruits seem to affect the trip more than the juice alone.
Anytime I wanna trip in an evening on dxm, but still manage to get sleep, I do the grapefruit method and I always come down about 2 hours sooner than I would without it. I've never questioned it.

doing dxm is like russian roulette for me. Ive done it 3 times, the first i had a 'meh' time, it was kinda fun, but i was nauseous at first, then itchy for the whole night. The second time, i spent the whole night dry heaving (both the same ammount of robotussin, i forget how much it was tho) The third time i tried it, it was 2 pills of pure 300 mg mixed with about 1/3rd of a probably methy tab each taken while coming down from an 8th of shrooms, that proved to be a fun experience.
All in all, its just worth it. Especially considering that its not really good for you. Better just to blaze than robotrip if theres nothing else

It means you have to abuse the hell out of it to cause any long term brain lesions. There isnt any real evidence it causes brain lesions in humans, but without a doubt it can have a negative impact on your brain if you abuse it enough.
My point is that it really isnt any worse for your brain than other psychedelics, but it has to be used in moderation like all psychedelics.

I'd actually love to try pure, extracted DXM someday. Nah, I think DXM is pretty interesting on its own, I just don't dig it personally. I'll admit that middle and high school kids chugging cough syrup is a pretty pathetic sight, but I also think DXM is worth experimenting with on its own - not just as an easy, cheap high. It is quite unique. I would say the worst drugs ever are probably airplane glue, solvents, and gasoline. Let's keep some perspective here.
I honestly would love to try PCP, though...

I had a grand mal (sp?) seizure when I took 42 or something of those Triple C's. Call me dumb but I learned a lesson that day and for some reason the paramedics did not reach in my pocket and find the bag with the other 30 or so. They couldnt figure out why I had a seizure so I lost my licence for 6 months. DONT DO TRIPLE C's, I WAS LUCKY TO BE OK WHEN IT WAS ALL DONE.
