I'm sorry you lack the mental capacity to understand what just happened. Let me try to clarify for you.
The original poster asked: "religous dudes-what do you think".
Being an ordained minister usually qualifies me as a 'religious dude' so I answered.
What did not happen: I never claimed to be an expert on the subject, I never divulged my level of 'religiousness', I never said I knew 'what the fuck' I was talking about.

yeah ,except being a legally ordained minister in and of itself doesn't necessarily qualify you even as a religious dude IMO. My dog could become an ordained minister, it doesn't mean shit by itself. Only by affiliating yourself with a religious institution and being ordained per their standards does it begin to hold meaning.

I don't claim to be some sort of religious scholar, I simply thought it would be good information to share. The main point of becoming a minister was to marry people, it is a very personal ceremony and I do it for close friends and family instead of them hiring a stranger to do it. My religious studies cover a broad range of different texts and beliefs and I would be quite interested to see any official writing that says masturbation is a sin specifically.
Now I do agree that you could infer the supposed sinful nature of masturbation from a few sources, but then again you can infer conflicting ideas all day long and it would not get you any further.

Lust as in "sexual desire"? If sexual desire is a sin, then why is it that every religion allows you to have intercourse?
Lust is often considered a sin, but lust is defined as an uncontrolled or insatiable desire for sex, as opposed to normal desire.
