This is for btb 103.

Mate, I read with a lot of attention what you said about sleep paralysis and followed the link for further reading. It kind of gives me an answer to my problems but I'm not entirely sure that's what's happening to me.

Here is what happens to me pretty much every morning.

While sleeping, I become aware that I am close to my wake up time so I want to check the time on my cell phone which is next to the bed.

I open my eyes, grab the cell phone but when I look at it, there's nothing on the screen. I then realize that I am not awake at all but I am dreaming. So I try to wake up again to grab the cell phone, but it keeps on doing this. I am not panicking but I just can't wake up or move to grab the phone.

Do you think it's sleep paralysis?

I dont think so.

Sleep paralysis is usually when you come back to your body but , it happens suddenly so you're still unable to move your physical body.

It can happen as you're falling asleep as well.

And.. its usually accompanied by feeling a presence next to you.

I forgot (literally)...
What is the point of lucid dreaming again?  (Besides it being kewl & entertaining.)
Seems like there was some other benefit to it.

Watch the video above that post you made and that may give you another answer

I watched it thanks to Fractal_Infinity and i have been walking around pinching myself looking at my hands and asking myself "am i dreaming"
maybe i will also start touching the door and asking myself also cheers again for the tips

on a related note: lately i've become somewhat lucid in a dream and dreams have gotten less surreal and more actual and realistic. after i realize something is wrong in the dream the dream kind of derails and i wake up.

is this a good sign in the terms of LD? because i'd like the dream to go on for a while.

From what i've read and heard you don't let those barriers control you nothing is wrong in your dream remember that let it flow do what feels best to you don't think about things like man i can't fly how am i doing this? because as soon as you have any disbelief you will fall.

Best thing to do is when you notice your dreaming forget all normal barriers there is no gravity the dream realm is what you make it if you believe you cannot do something in your dreams it will never happen just let it happen don't let gravity or any other physical barriers get in your way because they don't exist.

i've been having these pre-dream states where i close my eyes in a dark room and when i concentrate i start to see what's in front of me through the darkness. like my eyes are opened and it's not that dark but it really is pitch black. i see so clearly the details of the room that i think i can walk around perfectly with my eyes closed. then again i've tried to "look around" without moving myself but that hasn't happened yet, is this in any way related to LD? or is it just my imagination?

Is more related to astral travel. Robert Bruce describes this type of vision a lot in his book... I forget what he calls it.

OoOoO astral travel haven't heard of that for years i remember reading about it when i was like 11 i was soo keen to try it didn't have a clue where to start hahaha

Anyway i got my silene capensis root powder the other day man was i surprised just a 5Th of a teaspoon in some water ingested an hour before sleep made me had a crazy dream where i was traveling the world i remember most of it too which i usually never remember at all like when i was on calea i knew i had just been dreaming but couldn't recall it for shit but this stuff seems to help your dream recall or something coz i cut down on weed but still smoked a bowl that day before i had the dream so now i will attempt to not smoke any gunj through the week and wait till the weekend it seems to be a big waste of money through the week definitely since i have learned that marijuana is a mild psychedelic and best taken every 2 weeks or so for it's full potential.

I want to get back into Lucid Dreaming myself. I have the Laberge book too, but I haven't read it all. I've only ever had two lucid dreams in my entire life, and I would like to explore that world more.
