Light source is just ambient room lighting as well as some indirect sunlight.

Day 8, still no signs of pins--- some knots have developed but not many.
Room Temperature: 74
Humidity: Approx 95%
Light: Indirect Sun / Room Lighting
Fanning: 4-5 times per day

I'd just like to thank everyone here at the shroomery for making the last 3 months a pleasure. Swim is out of the game and probably won't be posting anymore, but here is his last hurray! This just goes to show you in 3 months time what a newbie who knows absolutely nothing about shrooms can produce. Thanks everyone!
1000 wet grams (almost to the dot) - (1st flush)
My suggestions to all the shroomery newbie's
#1) READ READ READ!
Read everything on the shroomery. Not just the new posts, go back and read old posts, and then re-read important information at least a few times. ESPECIALLY THE FAQ!
#2) Buy some books. Especially by Stamets.
#3) FOLLOW THE TEK'S EXACTLY (AND) ALWAYS TRY TO EXPERIMENT. This means try different things, like grain to grain transfer, agar, the honey tek, oven tek, millet, wheat/poo
#4) Don't be afraid to ask questions, on the shroomery or on the shroomery chat on irc.. j
#5) LEARN HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION! I'm sure you've heard this, but it's a great piece of advice.

Anno, I started my first casing, and have Saran wrap over the aluminum pan, in a larger plastic container, in the dark, about 85 degrees temp in there (it's where i colonize my cakes) - does this all sound ok? I don't fan it yet, right?

Holy shit...that is a fuckload-o-shroom...they must be a lot bigger in real life than they look in the pic...or perhaps it was a typo. Looks closer to about 200 to me. Congradulations man. A nice flush. And the overlay didn't matter in the end! Yay!

Hey, I wasn't planning on coming back to the shroomery, but had to post here on an unrelated topic.
Here's the weight of the plastic container + shrooms
221-136= approx 85 grams dried (not including the 6 grams swim's friends ate the other day).

Wow....quite a commendable harvest 
What is that weird looking stuff (grey blobs) mixed in with it? Looks like lots of casing material is still stuck to the bottom of the shroomage...this could account for quite a lot of weight, not to mention taste baaaad! So hopefully it isn't casing material.
That is a nice tub-o-shroom you have there!
