So, ever since Ythan bestowed his hippy-love upon Ron Paul, the resident "Liberty" cult has been posting en-masse. Aside from their hyperbolic, naive and sensationalist ramblings, I find it funny that they all bill themselves as Libertarians when, in fact, most of them had no idea what Libertarianism meant until RP showed up.

I liked Ron Paul before the elections. I voted for him.
I support him now, more and more with each piece of news I hear from him.

I was a Libertarian long before RP ever made the news and voting for him was the first and only time I have not voted the Libertarian party line. I personally think he has helped the Libertarian party in ways no one expected and his contributions of bringing Libertarianism into the mainstream will have reprecautions for years to come.

I think most of his supporters here like him because he's against the War on Drugs and restricting government. I do agree with them on these points, but the Libertarian view on such things as the economy are way too simplistic and glib for my tastes.

He's also pro-gun and heavily pro-Constitution.
He's big into personal responsibility, which is part of why I like him.

Ron Paul is a constitutionalist. The Constitution is inherently liberal (why do people make out liberty to be a bad thing? Put your money where your mouth is, if you hate liberty so much fuck off to north Korea).

i think he has some good ideas but like all candidates he has concepts that I don't agree with. I dont vote either way because no matter who you pick your gonna get screwed, and really nothings going to change.
