I would guess if you pushed them on this, they would very quickly drop the case in order to save face. It seems they like to use some dirty tactics (what they did to your friend, the dog falsely alerting for probable cause) that could get them in some trouble if you pressed em. Do all you can to get these uniformed criminals brought to justice!
The next guy might actually have stuff and have his rights trampled over becuase he is a 'dirty less than human druggy'. The cops were definatly misleading the judge to get the warrant and you have to put your foot down on this shit or else anyone that get a suspicious text or phone call will have his door kicked in and life ruined. The judge would defiantly side with you because his job is at stake. He's responsible for these flakey warrants the cops are getting him to sign off on.

Exactly. My lawyer is going to know all of this, and this man will indeed "sing like a cannary" very soon to the judge about the kind of pressure he was put under. If they really want to risk their jobs over less than a gram of marijuana, then they can be my guest. They are going down.

What a shitty situation man. When people say, "Drugs ruin your life" it's because of the consequences we have to deal with after being caught with them. It's some bullshit.
Your friend is a rat and it's a shame he sold you out. However, I do feel some compassion for him. If my Mother was in the same position as his, I really don't know how I'd react. I think it's great that he has a chance to make up for what he has done, and I hope you and your lawyer can figure out a way to get this new evidence into court. Sounds to me like this whole thing will be dropped if the judge is provided with this new info...
