Best game in history.
I ended up with over 500 hours of gameplay.
All Characters max leveled with all Lvl 4 limits All materias in maestro (an all in maestro was worth a fucking fortune, I used to fight in Mideel for hours just to level them up and sell) A stable full of golden chocobos All the moves on the Enemy skill materia All the side quests Bought the house etc
It just gave me hours upon hours of fun.
Then I went and lost the memory card with my savegame

haha, i still cant get that fricking gold chocobo to get into that fancy cave thing =/ have to play it again sometime
Man, that's exactly how I feel. If I just hear the music my child hood comes rushing up to meet me. Any one beat Ruby and Emerald Weapon? I did.
I was able to beat the Emerald Weapon, but you know what? I could not beat that fucking ruby weapon for the life of me. And believe me I tried! That's the only thing in the game I wasn't able to do.
The bitch of the whole thing is you get a gold chocobo when you beat him......a useless weak one at that. I guess beating him was just something to brag about. Equipping a ribbon (immune to all status changing effects) to each characters makes it a lot easier. Use knights of the round and mimic it over and over. This has got me wanting to play it right now!

Dude!!! I did cry man! At the tender age of 14 my first love was taken from me.... Man the time you're at the Golden Saucer and you can choose who you spend time with that night, I always choose Aerith. You know when you take that tram ride around the amusement park and she talks about the ancients and the planet. emotional shit man.

I took piano lessons last year and learned the song that plays during that part (called "Interrupted by Fireworks") on piano. Lol

I got my GF (concert harpsichordist) to play Aeris' Theme for me the other day. She tought I was geeky as hell but she nailed it first time without ever having heard the song (impressing the hell out of me in the process).
It brought back great memories though

I'm so playing this game again once I get Windows 7 installed on my PC so I can run the game in XP mode. I wonder if they've released any more graphical mods to the game that smooth out the polygons. We all know a remake isn't coming any time soon so any improvement over the PSX version is welcome. I'd also need the soundtrack mod because I refuse to play through the game in MIDI.

FF7 was the only game I took days of school off just to play when I first got it. There's something magic about that game
there's a ton of music I love from it, but I think this one is my favorite

I'm glad to see FF6 getting some love. My favorite game since I was a kid.

I'm so glad that there are other people that feel the same way about that game that I do! It really is like a love relationship, the feelings that game stirs. I'm a little afraid of a remake though. I just feel they'll rape it. Change the music and game play, stuff like that. I think the old girl if perfect the way she is. Unless they can get over the temptation to soup it up for new generation.

I always hoped they would issue an exact remake, except for being able to revive Aeris like you can in the japanese version.
It would suck if they changed anything else! Especially the music. Or the beautiful backgrounds (one that stands out in my memory is the mountain with the tracks you can jump from and to, and all the materia... forget what it's called)
