 Public Speaking- Need Advice

I am going to be speaking tomorrow about ganja. Never spoke in public except at a friends party a while ago, can you give me advice? Is alcohol a good idea?

3. A small amount of alcohol would help if you get nervous, to loosen you up, but be sure to brush yer damn teeth, nothing would be worse if they knew you drank while you were talking about Cannabis, makes you look like... well you get the point.

I wouldn't recommend alcohol, but then again I generally try to keep away from the stuff. It could make you inadvertently meander away from the point.
Maybe make some cue cards with the key points you want to cover. Little business-card-sized ones that discretely fit into the palm of your hand can come in very handy if you get nervous and need prompting.
Calm yourself down before you start, keep your head high, don't talk too fast, use body language that grabs the audience's attention and don't mumble.
If what you're worried about is nerves:
I'm a live performer and I used to, (don't have a such a problem with it now) tell myself in a firm voice that "I was born to do this" before I got on stage.
It may seem strange, but it worked for me.
You mightn't consider yourself born to talk about 'ganja, or maybe you do, I don't know, but some other similar kind of self-assurance may help.

I would avoid the alcohol. Just remember your role (you are the expert) and don't worry about what other people think. The more you do it the easier it becomes.

Stay away from adderall or other amphetamines. Learned that one in my speech class 
A beer might be good beforehand to loosen you up, but I wouldn't drink more than 1 or 2.

All right rather than being negative I'll give some tips. But first let me be more negative:
Don't go on stage all like that and be like "Yo brah, weed won't fuck you up!" because that's what I imagine you doing.
Dress well.
Take no drugs. Not even caffeine, unless you are dependent.
Practice keeping your posture completely erect.
Move your head slowly and with finesse rather than jerking it around.
Make eye contact with people from all over the audience and make sure to look around (smoothly like above).
Do not grip on to anything or lean on anything
Do not shuffle your weight
The only thing in your hand should be note cards full of your speech notes
You should know your speech
Practice it
You should be able to recreate and answer questions about your speech and say it just from looking at your notes
Do not begin to doubt yourself mid speech
SMILE
Be confident
Don't try to become unnervous. Instead realized that people get a bit spooked from speaking and turn that nervousness into energy for your performance.
Keep your feet pretty still and swivel at the hip when you need to turn.
Project your voice and don't let your volume get turned down until no one can hear you

Public speaking is my Major (Communications), just be confident and dont give a shit what you look like.

Talk slowly usually when people speak in public and get nervous they talk too fast and the audience can't understand and it shows your nervous.
If you get flustered don't let it mess you up, just take a few seconds to breathe and recollect...its ok to PAUSE between what you're saying.
Use note cards to write down main points/thoughts/ideas but don't get up there and read.
I usually also tell myself the people in the audience don't matter in my day to day life so i shouldn't really worry what they are thinking about me... i mean it is good to make a good impression but if i mess up i won't see them again after that class, speech, etc.
I used to have a huge public speaking fear and my debate class really helped me get over it...those are some of the things I have learned this year.

Damn straight, over 50% of my disposable income (probably 30% of my ENTIRE income) goes to cannabis... I don't even smoke much, the price is just through the roof in this state.
I hate working longer hours to support a habit that would cost essentially $0 if it was legal.

I don't even know the difference between indica and sativa, I wouldn't have a clue what I'm smoking, I've been smoking for 10 years and never have I heard a single person talk about strains.
You get "pot", whatever the fuck is in the bag, for a rip off price.
I use probably 400g per year, that's less then the yield of 1 single plant a year 
Why do I have to spend close to $10,000 for that amount of pot.
Fucking rip off merchants.
Go over the line to another state where they have decrimalized it, roughly 30% of the price I pay.
Fucking.

I would love to, never going to happen though.
I'm a pretty handy gardener, I can only dream of a world where I'm legally growing shit like White Widow, Blueberry and all types of funky strains.
Atm it's "pot" and it's been all the exact same quality for the past 10 years.
I wonder if I've never actually smoked "high" quality bud. This stuff is all I know... it indeed gets you stoned.
Aussies are pretty fail at weed.
The large majority of the people around here smoke through a plastic bottle (usually a bottled water or a 600ml coke) with a piece of garden hose for the downstem and a cut up/rolled piece of soda can for the bowl. They also mix there cannabis with tobacco, sometimes up to 50/50 to smoke in bongs.
GG Government for making it illegal to sell bongs or bowls, you did us all a favour.
I smoked for nearly 6 - 7 full years this way before I clued in and imported some quality GonG.
Now I own 3 vaporizers no thanks to the aussie culture of weed.
God damn melted garden hose fumes in your hit. What is everyone thinking.
