Thief series. particularly in 1 and 2, the dialogues of some guards and the weird primates and the rat men.
Also for me, there was nothing like blackjacking a monkey man while hes talking about berries with his friend, or watching guards from different factions killing each other over an argument laced with shakespearean insults - then finishing off the last men standing and taking their arrows and cash.
Smashing civillians over the head with the blackjack and taking their cash was always made me feel decadent.

well... my friend  tried to download postal 2 and apocalyspe weekend and one thats simply titled AWP.
the error for apocalyspe weekend is:
General protection fault!

im guessing your running vista or a 64bit operating system. and when you say downloaded the game, what exactly did you do after that? usually there are certain things you must do to get it to run after that

are you leaving it mounted when you try to run it? did you check for a crack on the image? if so then
try daemon tools instead of poweriso. daemon tools has some extra settings like emulating copy protection

na i just used power iso to extract it because thats what the icon was made of at that point. installed it and it can run (i assume) without the disk, because i usually get the no disk error before the shit dont work error.
there wasn't (to my knowledge) anything to mount.
when i went back and mounted the "CD" it had the same error.
thinking about just buying this shit, but it doesnt seem like thats where the problem is.

but usually you either keep the file mounted using daemon tools trying the various settings on that program from none to all one at a time.
or there's a crack in there somewhere, rarely do you find one that this is allready taken care of.

aside from the machine, portal was lame.
just a mad easy puzzle game. i think there was one room where i was a little confused for about 2 minutes.

i just reread some of your previous posts, did you install from the hard drive after you extracted the files, or did you install from your mounted drive? trying it different ways may help. as may different programs like daemon tools , purhaps try winrar to extract the files to your hard drive too.
otherwise try some of the things suggested in here

Got it installed.. everything looks a lot more legit with this one... except i got the NoCD error...
then i installed the nocd crack and got this error:

also, you can download this game demo "Hail to the Chimp"... the game is rather boring, but i used to sit around high listening to the start up screen, they have a badger acting like a news caster just saying about an hours worth of hilarious shit.

tried this and it worked, a fun game with absolutely no point. theres only a little material that is actually enjoyable, most of it is just walking. but i will try apocalypse weekend.
the newest one might have potential.
