I wish I could make a living doing art............ Touring the world and playing crazy shows.
I am not jealous of commercial shitty artists/ but more or less the ones that I think are amazing.
I think I have to start writing music but I don't know anyone in the business so I have no hook ups

You don't need hookups. You need to create your own network. And if you're not already writing songs, that's going to take some effort. Good luck man.
Me, I write all sorts of music, but I don't particularly like live shows and I have very little interest in playing gigs. I just enjoy living in my own head, and recording/dubbing enhances my abilities.

Creating music isn't about touring the world and playing crazy shows. It's about creating music. Focus on that first.

Now days you have to be original and a good musician in order to be able to right original music.

that's true. I don't really care about the touring- but it is cool to be able to live a music lifestyle! I would love to write music all day!!

I think you may have a serious misunderstanding of what "writing music all day" means.
Once it's a job, it isn't fun.

I hear - but I have no problem with creativity and I love to play music. I am sure it could be very stressful-- but I really love music more then anything- half my life revolves around listening to music--nothing excites me more then good music

Then write music in your spare time and be happy you're capable of it at all, wtf is the problem here?

Maybe, maybe not. Mike Gordon from "Phish" once said,"You know when you are a kid and think how awesome it would be to play music and tour the country, well it is actually more fun then you could ever imagine."

There's a reason the rate of depression among musicians is so high: it's a stressful, demanding, energy draining job. And most of them aren't paid half of what they deserve.
But still, I think it would be an amazing job if you were able to hold it together.

Wait, I'm confused as to what you're jealous of here.
Is it having thousands of women throw themselves at you? Is it the free drugs? Is it traveling all over the world? Is it making mad money by doing something you love? Hearing shit you wrote on the radio? Getting up on a stage and rocking out, having thousands of people scream their lungs out in adoration?
I'm confused about what you actually find attractive in this business.
