Weed. I get too much distortion while really tripping to enjoy the music for what it is. Having been a musician for over half my life, the constant change in tempo and slight pitch modulation just makes me feel a little weird, because I know what it should sound like, and it doesn't sound like that at all. Weed just enhances my appreciation of it without really *changing* my perception, per se. I still love listening to music like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, and even Tool while I'm tripping, because it can really intensify the trip (especially if you have some cool scenery, cloud formations, visualizer, whatever, something to watch) and sort of "blow you up", but as far as appreciating the music, good old grass takes the cake for me.

It really depends on what type of music you listen to.
If I really want to listen to some great jazz, or some phish, etc, lsd is the most insane way to listen to it. It goes the same for the dead, and thats why I love the dead(not everyone can like that shit and its for a reason).
If you want an intense musical experience you might not want to not take too much though, because that makes it into a whole different animal and it really doesnt sound anything like it normally does and you wont give one shit about the music thats playing as it becomes just "some uninteresting part of the trip". Its like the music is moving through a hall of tiny vacuums that blow just as much as they suck.
For me there is no drug that can top lsd as far as music is concerned.
Not anything close aside from lsa.
This is unique to me though, and lsd kind of taught me how to see music at a young age.
I like the idea of tripping on the music.
Molly is very emotional and full of shit but in a good way.
I dont prefer to listen to music while on molly.
What the music is saying is what im concerned about, and on acid, for some people it can become clear as day. Just ask santana or coltrane.
Coltrane loved that good old lsd, and it changed his whole approach. He became very much more religious/spiritual about his music.
Dizzy loved his shrooms too.....lol

Has anyone taken so much acid that you listen to a favorite band and it somewhat ruins it for you? Its as if it loses some of its mystique because LSD allows you to absorb it so completely. Very hard do describe, but its as if it deconstructs your personality, and it was your own personality and tastes that made the music sound so great in the first place. This is only occasionally on massive doses though, usually its godlike. My vote probably goes to acid over mushrooms because I can listen to a greater variety on it, while on mushrooms it seems some stuff just doesn't work. Cannabis is just a weaker version of both.

I know what you mean! it can make having specific taste in music seem egotistical or something  for that reason I would say I like marijuana more for music- although lsd can be fucking crazy
