its a love/hate relationship i have with the ol' booze
but its extreme hate at the moment...
basically i had too much to drink on saturday (yeh my own fault, but i blame booze)
this just resulted in:
-making an ass of myself
-getting violent and agressive
-empty wallet when i get home
-lost my bus pass
-my friends hate me
-i dont remember what happened
-horrible hangover sunday
oh the shameeee, i aint drinking in a while now...

I solve that problem by only taking enough cash out on drinking nights for what I've planned to buy.
I'm quite passive when I'm drunk but I do realize plenty of people get violent.
Maybe a break is in order

Let me guess the violent/agressive part consisted of you being shitfaced so you probably wnet and singled out someone smaller than you minding their own business. You tried to square up on them to intimidate them cuz you think your the shit and when they had the nerve to defend themselves you sucker punched or pushed them or something along those lines?

lol nah i didnt hit anyone..but there was this guy who my gf was getting a bit too close to
..in my drunken asshole state i was a bit agressive..but he was spanish! cant trust em!
then it was just my mates who i was been an asshole to, we were all generally the same size...im not a big guy 5ft 9 and 135pounds i believe = /

I don't really remember what I did, but I always make an ass out of myself when I drink.
I think your making the right choice, in not wanting to drink again.

i might have a nice ale on friday night..but im not going out on the town or anything
thats generally when i lose all my possesions and dignity...
if only i could find some good weed

I really don't understand why anyone would wanna get wasted. When I drink it is usually 2-4 beers at most, but never drink to the point that I turn into a drunken mofo. I find only the first few drinks actually give me euphoria, after that it is just intoxication. Weed> Alcohol!!

Damn man looks like you lost a lot of stuff? I would slow down on the booze to my uncle died from drinking to much he was only 40. I would hate to that happen to someone else!

I totally agree with skatealex2, there is a fine line that you must walk in order to really enjoy yourself.. at least in my experience. I've never really understood alcoholism, it's not something I could ever do on a day to day basis. Life really isn't that bad, I guess I never felt the need to escape that thoroughly, a little ganja does the trick. To the OP, great decision, stick by it.. and if they're really your friends they'll respect that you've decided not to drink and hopefully forgive you!
