Have you ever met a person and just intrinsically disliked them?

I've encountered this a few times during my life. You see a person and you instantly despise them; their features, their figures of speech, their mannerisms, and even their ideas. I'm even sure some of the people I've met have intrinsically disliked myself. Why is this? Is it because they remind you of something in yourself that you hate?

How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways.

Or they remind you of someone you know from before and dislike. The same can be true for people you instantly like.
Well, when I am thinking about it, I am not sure if they necessarily remind me of anyone or anything. It is more like I am vibrating in harmony with the people I instantly like, while I am vibrating inharmoniously with the people I instantly dislike. I am usually so quick at judging people, that I will probably decide what girl to marry after talking with her for 10 minutes.

Y'know, I wasn't going to use a personal example, but now that you mention it...

Right, but what explicitly causes the inharmonious vibrations? Is the recognition of hated features in others simply a projection of our own Jungian shadow?

Not necessarily. There are a lot of features in other people, than I am quite certain I lack myself. Sometimes it might be true though, but I really love most of my personality I think.

Meaningless to you perhaps. I don't think a musician has any difficulties with understanding what "vibrating in harmony with someone" means.

As a piano player of over 40 years, that certainly kills your assumption.

Ever played together with another musician? Then you should know what it means to play in harmony with someone.

You dislike people instantly when they reflect many of the parts of yourself you really dislike IME.

Your entire analogy is faulty as any second year physics student would know. Perhaps you can tell us how you determine the resonant frequency of a personality.
I guess those Jim Jones followers vibrated harmoniously with their leader, eh?

Well I don't determine it with my intellect, that is for sure. Whether I am vibrating harmoniously together with someone or not, is a feeling. It feels good to be vibrating in harmony with someone, while it feels bad to be vibrating inharmoniously together with someone.
I enjoy spending time together with people I am vibrating in harmony with, while I dislike to spend time with people I am vibrating inharmoniously together with.

He knows exactly what you mean. Interestingly enough, however, it is a well known fact that he would just rather play the antagonist in this forum and pretend not to know what you mean, so as to dissuade you from having a meaningful conversation in here, and in hopes of diminishing your chances of gaining some insightful value. He is, none other, than Satan himself, the grand master of deception.

All of Ted Bundy's victims vibrated harmoniously with him so we know this is a valid indicator.

are your views any more "correct" or "right" than his? just because you disagree doesn't make them any less right.

I gave two real-world examples that countered his 'theory', but somehow this does not carry as much weight with non-thinkers as just making poetic stuff up.
