it's snowing in NC right now. beautiful night. a nice 3 inch blanket of fluffy white snow covering the land. darkened winter trees capped with a highlight of snow, backlit by the orange glow of city light pollution.
i was trying to convince myself to smoke a bong then trek out and take some photos of the beauty, but i think i might just end up in bed instead.

yeah, people do really freak out. i'm betting most classes will be canceled over the 3 inches we got tonight. we'll see.
and no, i don't really live in the woods. i live in a suburbian looking neighborhood. though the house i'm renting does kind of resemble a log cabin with a pine tree front yard. but it's pretty much smack dab in the middle of two big cities that border one another.

That's cool. I live in smack dab in the middle of the city so I don't get to see much wildlife except when I walk over the river to get to some of my classes. I really need to get out of this place.

but you still have to have fires burning and heaters and blankets and greasy woollen jumpers and greasy hair and skin from being wrapped all the time and the dampness
i hate the damp
we just got thru that humid damp hot as fuck weather but now we have edens weather

i don't even understand what you're talking about. greasy woolen jumpers? i don't think i've ever experienced that in my life considering i'm not entirely certain i know what they are. i'm not sure i know what edens weather is either.
winter in north carolina is a joke. it's like completely off and on. 4 days ago it was literally 70F (22C) and i could walk the dog w/o a jacket. tonight, it snowed 3 inches, but it'll probably only be cold for a couple of weeks, if even.
